South Carolina is for Lovers

Hi everyone! It's me,  Tonya . I don't know about you but I do love the beach and I sure do love Folly Beach which is in Charleston, South Carolina. The hubby and I love Folly Beach so much we were married there a couple of years ago. It was the most perfect sunny day in March, out of a not so warm and perfect week of cold, icky and bad weather. But hey...I got my wish of being able to stand barefoot on the beach with the man I love and say our I does. :-)    I would like to share a page of a recent trip we took. I used the  AP 211 State of South Carolina  printable and a piece of cardstock that I cut down to 5 5/8"x7 5/8" from the  Glitz Uncharted Waters Paper Pad  from  Altered Pages . The page was very easy to put together. I used ephemera I had picked up from the hotel and trips into Charleston. I have a Instax printer that I took along on the trip and was able to print photos that I took with my phone. I added a map of the area th...

Marie Antoinette Falls for Halloween

Hi everyone! It's me,  Tonya .  It is hard to believe that fall and cooler weather is right around the corner but I am here to share some rolodex cards using some Halloween and Fall printables  with Marie Antoinette thrown in for fun and some leftover cardstock from previous Mailbox Muse kits. Everything that was used to create these rolodex cards are listed below in the supply list. For the first rolodex card I fussy cut one of the Marie Antoinette, jack-o-lantern and butterfly wings. I adhered the butterfly wings to the back of Marie and then glued the jack-o-lantern in Marie's hand. I added black thread to the back before I adhered to the card. For the rolodex card I used a diecut and leftover cardstock from a few of my Mailbox Muse kits. You can also use rolodex cards that you can buy at your local office supply place and alter with cardstock. I also added a little St...

Fairy Babies

Hi everyone! It's me Tonya and I am here to share my Pocket Letter which is my very first one I created. I used a variety of printables, Graphic 45 and Glitz cardstock to create this fun page. I love the saying from the  Pocket Quotes 2365 . I dolled them up with bits of cardstock and butterfly punches. I also used the following printables:  Tinted Babies ,  Tea Party Flowers  and  Fairy Wings . There was a lot of fussy cutting but in the end I think everything turned out adorable. I also inked edges of the cards, printed the fly, cherish and inspire sentiments from the computer and added sequins and flat back pearls to finish off the cards. After looking at my page I decided it still needed something else so I added a banner. I punched tiny holes on either side of the Pocket Letter sleeve and threaded the twine in the holes and tied off. Since this is for the Pocket Letter Pals and Altered Pages Swap I have contacted my ...

A Day at the Beach Mini Album

Hi everyone! It's me,  Tonya  and I am here to share a mini journal I created for an upcoming trip to the beach. I wanted something that was small and wouldn't take up much space and that I could use my Instax printer to print off 2"x3" photos.   You will need a 6"x9" clasp envelope as the base or cover for your mini album. I removed the reinforcement around the hole and the clasp. I used a page from the  Vintage Text Pages pack ,  Before Bikinis collage sheet ,  1821D Vintage Words collage sheet,  235  Summer Words collage sheet,  Uncharted Waters 8"x8" Glitz Paper Pad  which I used thru out the mini along with  Security Paper  to create the outside cover and inside pages. I measured the spine of the mini and found the center which I then punched a tiny hole. Then I cut 10 inches of 3mm elastic trim, folded in half and run thru and tie off on the inside cover. Next I measure an inch in on one end and...

Easter Blessings

Hi everyone! It's me  Tonya  and since Easter is right around the corner I wanted to share a card I created using the past  Mailbox Muse Magical Gypsy Bazaar Kit  and  Kunze German Scraps . I have never had the opportunity to use the German foil before but let me say this I love it! I started by cutting and folding an embossed piece of green polka dot Bazzill cardstock to create a 5" x 5 1/2" cardbase.  Ink the edges of the 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" light green polka dot cardstock and adhere off center of the base along with the german foil white medallion. I cut a 1 3/4" x  5 1/2" stripe of patterned cardstock and center and adhere along with the an pink piece of cardstock cut slightly larger than the gold german foil and adhere to the top of the card base. I fussy cut the bunny from the  Fresh Springtime printable , added a little  Star Dust Stickles  to the egg and adhered to the card along with the sentiment tha...

Hope is the Thing with Feathers

Hi everyone! It's me,  Tonya , and I'm here to share an art journal page I created using a junk mail envelope as a base for my page. I used some of the awesome collage images that are on the  AlteredPages  site along with some of their other great products which I have listed below. Also we are cross promoting   Leaky Shed's   assortment of chipboard dies this month too. I started out with a business size (#10) envelope as my base for my page. I had a ton of left over scraps from mini banners I had cut out.  I hated to throw away all of those cool wavy scraps, so I decided to use them on my page. I started by applying decoupage medium to the page and then covering it with the leftover scraps. Once I got it the way I wanted it I applied more  decoupage medium  over the top of the scraps to seal it so to speak. Once dry, I used a number stamp down the side of the page. Then I used an empty toilet roll and coke lid d...

Dragonfly Dreams

Hi everyone! It's me  Tonya ! First off let me tell you I'm super excited to be a part of Altered Pages/Mailbox Muse design team. The thought of having hundreds of vintage images to create with simply makes me giddy. :-)   I want to share my first project I created using inks and markers from this month's partner,  IMAGE Crafts   and products from  Altered Pages .  If any of you know anything about me you know I love to alter things and use stuff that would normally be thrown away in a lot of my projects.  I started out with the empty packaging from one of those XLG Sizzix die cuts  and cut it down so I could run it through the diecut machine to cut the page out. Next, I embossed both ends with a small Polk a dot embossing folder. Then I inked the embossed surface and some of the edges with the following Emerald City, Blue Hawaii and Gothic Purple StazOn Inks.  Once the ink dried I dug into my own stash of scraps of paper...
