Please don't kill me for posting a Christmas project before Halloween! Jess  here with a fun upcycle project for you. I have gotten a jump start on my holiday crafting and hope to inspire you to start too.  There are some many awesome images available from Altered Pages for your Christmas craft projects.  For this vintage tart tin ornament, I chose the kitten image from the  50's Christmas shee t. I punched the image out using my circle punch and set it aside. I used an awl to hammer a hole in the hop and a hole in the bottom of the tart tin .  I put a jump ring in each hole to make my hanger and the tassel. To make the hanger and tassel I dyed my  seam binding  by using my various  sprays .  I also took some bits of vintage lace to add extra interest.  I tied a single bit of seam binding though the top jump ring and just knotted it to secure it.  For the tassel I pulled the bits of seam binding and lace though the jum...

Hi Everyone it's Danie here today with my first post here on the Altered Pages Blog.  So I thought I'd start with a little creation that gives you a bit of an insight to me! It's an ATC that says it all as I do have trouble with these four letter words - Cook, Wash, Iron and Dust.  They are all things I avoid doing until I really cannot anymore, because I'd much rather be in my craft room playing with the fun Altered Pages Collages sheets such as the one I have used for my project today.  Lucky for me I married a Chef and he is very supportive of my crafting.   I love making ATC's, bright colors and creating my own backgrounds.   Today's ATC Background is a quick watercolor wash with some sponged ink stenciling done with a piece of punchinella. I am Jean and I own Alteredpages.com.   (sounds like I'm at a self help group!)   Owning a small business probably should have a self help group!   As an owner I get to buy, sell, stock, test, talk, write, blog, and be the janitor!    Often I do not take  time  to do what I love best and that is create!      I have so many ideas flying around in my brain and so many things I want to learn more about.    Since one of my true loves is working in clay (the mud kind) I was thinking about getting PaperClay to test and see how it goes.  Do you use paperclay and if so, what do you think of it?      I got some new gold ink from Tuskineko called Delicata, it is superb & can resemble gold leaf.   I was thinking about how that ink might look on paperclay flowers or people.  I can envision those knickknacks from the 50's with the Marie Ant...
