Journal Box by Debi Tullier

Journal Box by Debi Tullier I love repurposing things and this time I am using a packing box. It is small and I think it is perfect for a little book holder. Here is my Journal Box or for my grand-daughter. She loves animals and her favorites are Cats. However a sweet little pup has made her life complete for now.   She wants to write about herself and her pets so why not a journal box. Small bound books will be inside to capture her thoughts and sketches.  I will share the finished box with journals later.   S ee you next month!  Supplies: Box Aleene’s tacky glue Decoupage paper (on Hand) Art Anthology Velvet in Limeade Splash Inks Crystal Lacquer and mica mixers Collage Sheets:  Cats at Play Gypsy Soul Laser Chipboard Metallic marker (on hand) Watercolor Pencils

Steampunk Grumpies Goggles Journal Band/Bookmarker

This month I have had fun playing with a digital stamp. I am relatively new to them and find that they are super because you can resize them to suit your needs. I love the crisp look and find the Smeared Ink Steampunk Grumpies line filled with fun characters. I selected Steampunk Grumpies Goggles for my character. I decided a long time ago I wanted a book mark for my art journal. I dislike the cover that is more an advertisement for the company who produced it so I use the cardboard side as my cover. Well now my little buddy will have a great home holding my place as I work…. Supplies: Steampunk Grumpies Goggles Watercolor water brushes Watercolor Colored Pencils Royal & Langnickel Sari Silk Ribbons canvas inkjet fabric for printing (have on hand) Aleene’s glue elastic 1/2 inch wide (have on hand) Gold/ Bronze markers for background (on hand) Sewing machine (optional) Hot Glue (on hand) Chipboard (on hand)     Thank you for joining me! See you next month f...

Halloween Wreath

I am so excited about Halloween. I don’t really do much for the day but love to make fun stuff to enjoy it. I love using stuff that normally would have been thrown away. Yes my husband is always chiding me about my hoarder ways. I saw this “craft” paper packing and how to save it for something..It worked fabulously with this project. I want to remind all that there is no glue holding the paper to the wire. I used only the chalk paint to make it stay. It is very sturdy. I love all of the great supplies that AlteredPages has. These items help my imagination soar. I also found by using the little Pots I am more organized…FEAR, FEAR of organization…that really scares me. I hope you enjoy my post!   Supply list: Wire Hanger Craft paper or newpaper cut into squares 5 x 5 DecoArt Chalk Paint  (Carbon Black) Paper plate or tray for painting Brushes (one for painting and a toothbrush for splattering) Metallic paint (on hand) gloves (optional) glitter...
