I love eggs…I clean the shells out if I am going to use them for baking or scrambling. I love the texture. I decided to create something a little different, a box made from an egg. I had to cut it in half it was fairly easy with a rotary grinder and a cut off wheel. I then used several of the products from AlteredPages including a Mailbox Muse stamp set. Please let me know what you think of my crazy creation. Hello everyone.  Barbara here today with a project for all of the cardmakers out there.   Altered Pages  has so many things to choose from, but this month, we are focusing on the stamps from any and all of the amazing  Mailbox Muse Kits . To begin, I cut brown card stock to 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", and scored down the middle using my  Scor Pal .  This will be my card base.  Set it aside for now. Next, I began stamping my images from the  Muse Stitches  stamp set.  I stamped the sewing pattern onto a  Serviette Paper  with  Versa color Black ink pad .  I fussy cut it out and set aside. I stamped only the tape measure portion of the sewing pattern stamp onto the brown and cream striped paper with black ink, as shown.   Then I fussy cut that out and adhered it over the the serviette paper stamping.  This gave a nice variety to the stamped image.  I stamped the vintage sewing machin...

It's Robin today wishing everyone a happy Friday!  I have a few altered spoons to share with you today.  What won't artists decorate, right?  These little wooden spoons make an adorable little canvas.   You can get a set of 5 at Altered Pages and create a bunch, too! I began by staining and painting the wooden spoons with various paints and inks .  The bare wood drank it in and needed minimal drying time.  I used a sponge dauber  to apply the dark green ink and it took the longest to completely dry.  I was probably a little heavy-handed.  The spoons come without holes in the handle so you can decorate the entire length.  I wanted to punch holes so I can hang them.  I used a Crop-A-Dile and it went through like butter! I chose three of these for projects today.  Let me start by saying that if I could do it over, I would make this spoon the other way around so that the angels were at the head of the "body"!  ...

Hi everyone! It's me,  Tonya .  It is hard to believe that fall and cooler weather is right around the corner but I am here to share some rolodex cards using some Halloween and Fall printables  with Marie Antoinette thrown in for fun and some leftover cardstock from previous Mailbox Muse kits. Everything that was used to create these rolodex cards are listed below in the supply list. For the first rolodex card I fussy cut one of the Marie Antoinette, jack-o-lantern and butterfly wings. I adhered the butterfly wings to the back of Marie and then glued the jack-o-lantern in Marie's hand. I added black thread to the back before I adhered to the card. For the rolodex card I used a diecut and leftover cardstock from a few of my Mailbox Muse kits.You can also use rolodex cards that you can buy at your local office supply place and alter with cardstock. I'm taking a little liberty with the fall theme this month.  I hope you'll indulge me.  The "fall" in this card is really just in the color scheme.  This quick card was made using Glitz papers, a Glitz sticker and three Altered Pages stamps from the All Things French Mailbox Muse kit . I matched my brown ink as closely as possible to the Glitz sticker and ran the ink pad around the edges of the black striped background and stamped both "Paris" and "La Tour Eiffel" in the same color.  I cut out a swirl from the same paper as the card itself so that it would match exactly and layered the whole thing together. Stencil 1 is the Altered Pages partner for the month of April... I love my    large Key Repeat Wallpaper Stencil!!!   This month I have been inspired by others to create Pocket Letters! Using papers from the Mailbox Muse Kit Art on the Orient Express , cut 9 cards 3 1/2, for the base of my page!   Tape a couple of cards on a hard surface, washi tape works well.  Through the   large Key Repeat Wallpaper Stencil ink a few keys on cards in strategic places with Versamark   Heat emboss with black embossing powder.             Layout cards as they will appear in the Pocket Page     Then embellish...
