This month we are celebrating the Fall, with our Colors of Fall Theme and given it is actually Spring here I also wanted to celebrate the time of the year I emerge from my mini hibernation into the beauty this time of year has to offer.  It's a time of Adventure and Travel, in fact I am heading away to the beach in the coming weeks for a little R and R and collaboration with a few of my art sisters. The lastest ATC Trading Coins Background Collage Sheet caught my eye with its colorful Harlequin Designs some of which are perfect for all your Fall and Halloween creating also. But I decided to team them with some Gypsy Themed Collage Images to signify my Free Spirit that comes forward in Spring, looking for more adventures and simply to enjoy life and all that this time of year has to offer. Nooooooooo, on my tags! Okay, I am being a bit corny but it's that time of year right? In honor of our tag challenge, today I'm giving you TWO tags! With this fun Halloween Moons collage sheet, I couldn't just pick one of these fun fellows, so you get one for Autumn and one for Halloween! Supplies: Halloween Moons collage sheet Adhesive Manila Tags Paper for backgrounds Assorted Ribbon Art Alchemy Paints - Dragon's Eye and Dark Forest Memento Inker Rub-On embellishments, miscellaneous stickers and other collage elements from my stash Some starting elements. I didn't use all of these things and I added a few, but this gives you an idea of my process.  I started by gluing down my papers to the tags. Then I trim around the tag. Next, I glue down another layer of decorative paper to give a little more texture and interest. Once dry, I trim off any excess and then "fussy cut" my moonies from the collage sheet. I gl...

Hi Everyone it's Danie here today creating some greeting cards for Fall, using Gelli Prints as my background papers and collage sheets from Altered Pages. After collecting items that were fall themed, I started by die cutting out some leaves out of cardstock off cuts to use as masks on my Gelli Plate to create Autumn themed papers. The first layer of my Gelli Prints were simply a combination of yellow oxide and burnt umber acrylic paint spread across the plate.  My second layer was a mix of yellow, orange and red paint and I placed the die cut leaves down as masks before taking the print. This resulted in the above prints and the die cut leaves now being colored with autumn tones. My papers I teamed with orange, red and yellow cardstock bases, and sentiments from the Falling for Fall Collage Sheet , some natural trims (also available at Altered Pages) and some of my now colored leaves as embellishments.
