Watercolor Tag Featuring the New Tag Pad!

Hmmmm, where will all this good stuff lead...? Today I have made a giant tag using the new "Tag Pad"  that Altered Pages now carries.  The paper is quality watercolor paper and  I LOVED working with it.    I am going to keep the commentary as short as possible and let the pictures do most of the talking (this should be interesting.)   A detailed supply list is provided and the end of this post.  Background created first with palette knife, gesso and punchinella.    I was too excited and forgot to snap a pic before I began painting.    Picture all of those circles started out white.  ;-)       The color was achieved by using watercolor and then a bit of   white and black acrylic around the edges.   The acrylic was just finger painted on.  This next pic is the back of the tag.    Now, pretty from both sides.  This is vintage text applied ...

Journal Box by Debi Tullier

Journal Box by Debi Tullier I love repurposing things and this time I am using a packing box. It is small and I think it is perfect for a little book holder. Here is my Journal Box or for my grand-daughter. She loves animals and her favorites are Cats. However a sweet little pup has made her life complete for now.   She wants to write about herself and her pets so why not a journal box. Small bound books will be inside to capture her thoughts and sketches.  I will share the finished box with journals later.   S ee you next month!  Supplies: Box Aleene’s tacky glue Decoupage paper (on Hand) Art Anthology Velvet in Limeade Splash Inks Crystal Lacquer and mica mixers Collage Sheets:  Cats at Play Gypsy Soul Laser Chipboard Metallic marker (on hand) Watercolor Pencils

Some jingle jangle to wear

Hi, Jean today to share a project that will be fun to make and even give as a gift. Of course, Sabor papers are the focal point of the project.  We love Sabor for a few reasons... The quality of the paper is fantastic  The patterns and colors are amazing Sabor is a family owned business  Here is the finished piece.   Read on to see how it was constructed.   I had these key tags laying around and kept looking at them, knowing they would make a good art project. Sabor to the rescue!   The white tag is a 1 inch circle.   I used my circle punch and cut out various Sabor papers (you will cover both sides of each tag).  Punch images or colors you want. Apply the papers to the tags with a glue such as Aleene's.  I used a small paint brush and glued the tags, then placed the circles on top, it's neater that way. I colored any white tag area before gluing on my papers.  I used Splash Inks colori...

Delicate Egg Gift Box

I love eggs…I clean the shells out if I am going to use them for baking or scrambling. I love the texture. I decided to create something a little different, a box made from an egg. I had to cut it in half it was fairly easy with a rotary grinder and a cut off wheel. I then used several of the products from AlteredPages including a Mailbox Muse stamp set. Please let me know what you think of my crazy creation. Day Two of Vintage Blue Pocket Altered Pages

Welcome back.  I am continuing on with my Vintage Blue Pocket Altered Page.  I hope you all got the chance to see Day One of this post, which was on the blog yesterday.   Here is a link to day one in case you missed it.  Day one is where I gathered all of my goodies and prepared everything for my Vintage Blue Altered Pocket Page.  Today you will see everything assembled and put into my pocket page.  Also, please check out the info at the end of this post on how to join our Altered Pocket Pages swap later this month.   I mentioned yesterday how much I love this paper pack from Glitz.  It is beautifully vintage, but it is also masculine and with Father's Day coming up I thought one of the pin stripe pieces would be the great beginning of a "Thank you for all you do" to Dad or Granddad.  In my previous post I showed you preparing the pocket cards, basically creating ATC sized cards.  I also fussy cut collage images, d...
