CHRISTMAS RETRO FUN for a KIDS PROJECT This can be something the kids do after Thanksgiving dinner which can make a sweet holiday gift. Hello! Having fun with my Emerald Creek embossing powders. Decided to make an easy-peasy little Christmas themed frame. Supplies: Emerald Creek Embossing Powders - Silvester-Kracher, Northern Lights and Neon Blue Wooden frame from my stash Collage images from Altered Pages (1636 ATC's Christmas) Adhesive Paper Red acrylic paint Miscellaneous embellishments Selection of stamps Ink My starting lineup I used the red acrylic paint to paint the raw inside and outside frame edges. When dry, glue the frame front side down onto the paper.  Alternately you can wrap the paper around the frame edges if it is lightweight paper. Once the glue was dried, I cut the excess paper out of the frame. I cut out all the images from my collage sheet and used the ones that fit best. Glue them down, then use a layer...

Experimenting with the Gel Press and acrylic paints ! Love the wonderful backgrounds they created. Just two colors of acrylic paints and here are the results I got. On a couple of them I placed circles punched and placed on the plate after painting.  The paint lifted, then I ran the brayer again and got a really cool effect. This sheet has a bit of punchinella used for texture!  The prints were left to dry! Using the Circle Background Stamp with black ink on an acrylic block .  Black embossing powder  was used on the ink.   After heating the embossing powder, punchinella and black ink was used to add another layer to the opposite side of the sheet.      Adhere a black Bazzill Edge just off center of the card with  glue .  Use ONE of a KIND Jolee's Stickers to embellish the card.... this would make a cute birthday card! Hi Everyone, it's Danie here with you today..........for our Peace, Kindness and Love Month. Being kind to yourself is sort of my theme for my creative play today but it started with thoughts that today as this post goes live is Australia Day. For my creative process today I am following my passion, doing what makes me happy and making my mark.  My passion is being creative, getting messy and playing with my Gelli Plate which always makes me happy.  So I chose Australian Colors (Red, White and Blue and Green and Yellow) and created a whole heap of prints on my Gelli Plate.  For these prints I actually did make my own marks which I will share the 'How To' with you all another time.  I then took some of these and added further to the prints with some stamping and stencilling.  I used the circle background stamp to coordinate with the circles already on this print. The prints are perfect to use for a wide assortment of projects....

Hi Everyone!  It's Danie here today!  Haven't the ATB Block projects been fabulous this month?  I actually don't have one to share today as the mail hasn't reached me in time downunder so instead I have been playing with some of the new Ink Products that are available at Altered Pages from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko. This year our Autumn has been one of the warmest on record for a number of years across the country and apart from the odd night or two we have not needed a jumper or overly warm clothing, which I love however  I am envious of those in much cooler climates who get to experience the magnitude of colors of a true autumn with falling leaves and crisp nights as the closest I get to such a sight is via the internet. Materials  : G45 Steampunk Spells Glitz Rhinestones Glitz Stickers Ephemera Treasures AP Rubber Stamps : Time on Your Side Set Dylusions Stencils AP Silly Sticks Mix'd Media Inx Truffles and Black Adhesive Cork Sheets Liquitex Modeling Paste Ranger Distress Glitter Clear Rock Candy Foam Tape Burlap String markers Begin by adhering some pattern paper to a 4×4 cardboard square. With Modeling Paste stencil 2 sides of the square with a Dylusions stencil. I then poured microbeads from my Ephemera Treasureson the wet paste. The microbeads stay in place with the paste. Once dry edge the sides with Mix'd Media Inx Truffles. Stamp a new Altered Pages rubber stamp with Mix's Media Inx Black onto cork paper. Color with Sharpie Metallic and Brown Markers.
