A little winter romance

Who doesn't need a little romance in their lives?  This happy couple is enjoying a winter skate with a little Christmas angel watching over them.  This is one of the images on the Young Lovers collage sheet and is perfect for a Christmas card for your sweetie or a favorite couple, a winter anniversary or just a note card to say you're thinking of them.  Altered Pages has Christmas collages of all types from Vintage to modern.  Be sure to check them out for your holiday art. To help give the collage image a little dimension, I dipped the edges in VersaMark and embossed them with a metallic powder to give it a little shine. Altered Pages has a good variety of Christmas paper designs.  If you're looking for something that will stand out, check out the seasonal section on the website!  When I trimmed this paper down from 6x6 to 4x5.25 There was a a pretty good size strip of paper with a lot of the little circles.  My design includes two squ...

Vintage Ice Skate Transformed

I have had lots of fun using Craft Attitude printable film this month and I have one final project to share with you.... I transformed a pair of vintage ice skates into a fun piece of art that you could use to decorate your home, give as a hostess gift or as a fun personalized present for anyone on your gift giving list!   The best part...you can decorate both sides differently.  I went with a Victorian Christmas on one side and an Ivory Angel on the other for a generic Winter feel so that it can be displayed for several weeks this holiday season. Craft Attitude Printable Film Altered Pages: Victorian Christmas ; Christmas Ivy ; Ivory Angels ; Aleene's Tacky Glue; IMAGINE Crafts Ink And here is a handy little Snapguide on how to go about making one of these Vintage Skates all your own: Check out How to Alter a Christmas & Winter Themed Ice Skate by Roni Johnson on Snapguide . Little Suzy Snowflake

We do not get much (or any) snow in Phoenix Arizona.   I do miss it, being from Pennsylvania.   However, I would rather bask in the January sun than shovel the driveway, truth be told! I want tell you a story about a little red haired girl who always seemed to be in trouble ....it was the red hair, it stood out and she was often mistakenly charged!   That's my story and I'm sticking to it! In second grade the little girl was chosen for the lead in the Holiday Pageant and played the role of Suzy Snowflake!   She practiced dancing around the Snowman and children playing on stage.   Perhaps that was the beginning of her true determination to Go on with the Show! The day came and she was so excited in her frilly white dress, crown and magic wand.  She truly was a Snow Princess that day! In honor of that performance and the fun that was had, we have some fun Snowflake Tags for you. These are quick and easy and can be found in our Kits category ...
