Monster Ball! Halloween Ornament!

Monster Ball! Halloween Ornament!Day 31 of the 31 Days of Halloween!
I love Halloween not for the Scary Boo stuff but for the time we spent with our family watching old Monster Movies and being together. Time has moved on yet when we do reunite when the time is right we can’t resist reliving  our love of Monster movies!

For this Month’s challenge AlteredPages joined with Art Anthology to rock our crafting world!

I just want to tell you that in addition to the beautiful products that AlteredPages has, Art Anthology has some of the coolest dimensional metallic medium! I can’t get enough of it! Copper and just a pat with a spatula makes beautiful peaks of texture! Additional items are mentioned in the video!

Thank you so much for joining me!

Darkness belongs to the dead... Canvas

Darkness...I wanted to make a really dark/spooky canvas for Halloween and I think this fits the bill.....
Welcome to day 30!
The Altered Pages Design Team has been treating us with a month full of SPOOKY projects! Be sure to check back each day and see what they create with our partner ArtAnthology's products!  Comment each day on the blog for a chance to win a prize package from ArtAnthology and AlteredPages.com

Altered Pages is also one of the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop sponsors. Our Design Team is participating in the hop... if you would like to hop along the blog roll is on the side bar!

I started off with this Halloween saying...
"Darkness belongs to the dead, the ungodly, and the demons that lurk in our minds."

Here's what I did:  I started off by applying a couple coats of the Art Anthology Trolley Grey dimensional paint to the canvas which I let dry between layers for maximum depth and dimension.

Applying the first coat...

Then I painted my hands - one at a time o…

Did you ever say, I could make that!

See below for Blog Hop & Partner October projects, it's been a GREAT month with ArtAnthology and The 31 Days of Halloween Hop with The Smeared and Smudged Ink Blog.
BUT FIRST......
I will share what may be one of the funniest TRUTHS of the Crafting world.

Heather Mann has DONE IT! She has exposed the myths of Pinterest, Martha Stewart, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle and other craft sources. Yes, the book, magazine & Pin projects we feel we must accomplish. Her book pokes fun at all of us!   I dare you not to laugh!
Haven't you gone to a Craft Fair or drooled over a Pinterest project and then foolishly said, "I CAN DO THAT"!
As Glitter is my witness, I know have!
I opened Heather's BOOK, I was soon in tears from laughing so hard.  I showed one of the finished projects to my husband and his serious response was (keeping in mind these are crafting projects) "Is that made from pork rinds"?   Sadly no, it was a Burlap wreath!
