A Little of This and a Little of That...

Welcome to the  Alteredpages.com Blog. Today, I have for you a couple large Halloween themed tags.  I used the same  Crafters Workshop stencil  and one  Raven themed collage sheet  as the jumping off point for my two tags.  I used similar products and even similar placement for each element.   You will see however, that I acheived two completely different looks.   I also used a newer item to Altered Pages,  Tyvek envelopes  to create beautiful DIY flowers.  I will include a seperate tutorial on the flowers at the bottom of this post.   You really must try this technique!!!  It is 100% addictive.  Let's begin... Grab your tag and break that blank background with an ink of your choice.   You can mist, sponge, watercolor, etc.   Splash Inks  are perfect for this!  Next, apply another layer over your stencil.  I used a darker green ink sprayed on t...

Queen Vee ATC "Holographic"

The ingredients list included: Gel Bead Medium  (substitute  Gel Medium ) ATC Paper, Board, Etc...   (3.5" x 2.5") Art Anthology Paint    Queen Vee Rubber Stamp   Stazon Ink    Splash Ink    I cut a piece of watercolor paper to the 3.5" x 2.5" ATC standard size and scraped an even layer of Fiesta  Art Anthology Paint   and set aside to dry.    Using the  Stazon Ink   I stamped the  Queen Vee Rubber Stamp   Nice and crisp we could stop right there, BUT I couldn't. I scraped bead gel medium over the image and set aside to dry overnight. Okay, here it is dried. You can see I couldn't r...

Journal Box by Debi Tullier

Journal Box by Debi Tullier I love repurposing things and this time I am using a packing box. It is small and I think it is perfect for a little book holder. Here is my Journal Box or for my grand-daughter. She loves animals and her favorites are Cats. However a sweet little pup has made her life complete for now.   She wants to write about herself and her pets so why not a journal box. Small bound books will be inside to capture her thoughts and sketches.  I will share the finished box with journals later.   S ee you next month!  Supplies: Box Aleene’s tacky glue Decoupage paper (on Hand) Art Anthology Velvet in Limeade Splash Inks Crystal Lacquer and mica mixers Collage Sheets:  Cats at Play Gypsy Soul Laser Chipboard Metallic marker (on hand) Watercolor Pencils
