A Collection of Tags for Valentine's Day

Hello friends.  Barbara here with a Valentine's Day project to share.  The  Altered Pages  design team are sharing a variety of projects following the "Heart of my Hearts" theme.  I decided to make a selection of tags, which can be used just as easily as a card, or placed onto a folded card as the focal image.  I cut six  tags  from kraft paper and a matching print paper layer from the  Happy Travels  paper pad.  They measure approximately 2-¾" x 6". Edge each print layer with  Mixed Media Salazar Inkx  in Leather, Schoolhouse Red, and Patina.  Adhere each layer to the matching tag and re-punch center hole in the top.  Adhere tag reinforcements (optional), as shown. Fussy cut collage images and arrange them on each tag.  The odd shaped strips of print paper at the bottom of each tag are remnants from when I cut the tags out.  Ink the edge of each image with the  Mixed Media Sala...

My Dear Grandma

I always love being able to say this...Happy Friday Friends!   Thanks for stopping by today.   For today's project working with Altered Pages products and my versatile Stencil 1 Mum stencil I have made a giant tag.  This is a more special than average tag you see.  I created this tag to send to my dear, dear Grandmother, my Mema, who will be 85 years young in June!  We may live on opposite sides of the US, but we are close in each others hearts and I am very lucky to still have her in my life.  She is a hoot...seriously, you would love her.  This tag will be part of her Mother's Day goodies this year.  I hope you enjoy.  I will include a supply list at the end of the post.     I started this by using my Dylusions journal as my work surface.  I knew I would get some Gelatos and acrylic paint all over the place and this could very well be the base to a great journal page.  I already used this once befo...
