Crafters Workshop reminds me that Tools are so important (read on to find some creepy details)

The Crafters Workshop has been our Muse this month with some stunning results!  I have been reminded just how important the correct tools are to aid our creativity. The Crafters Workshop stencil I used on the canvas above is Distressed Details, (design - Art by Marlene) using the circular portions of the various images with TCW clear modeling paste. My work table is covered with tools and I have my trusty Ikea rolling cart beside me at all times.   I wanted to share some of my go-to items with you today. When it comes to most any artwork a great pair of scissors is a MUST.   I can't say enough good things about the KAI scissors (on sale).  Perfect for any paper cutting, fancy cutting, rubber cutting, with BIG comfortable finger holes & sharp pointed blades.   Mine are 7 years old and still perfectly fine, as sharp as the day I began using them.  Trust me. they get a workout! SUNDAY BETWEEN THE LINES

YOU ARE WHAT IS CALLED AN ARTIS T.   Jean here on Sunday.  I was journaling and looking for images to fit my mood.   While I am not necessarily a Fairy person, I was struck by the ethereal beauty of the  AP collage 514 Fairy Dreams .   Fairies tell us anything is possible and even probable!      The book is hand sewn using waxed threads and heavy weight watercolor paper.   A recycled hardback book cover is used as well.   The Fairies were cut from the collage and applied to fabric which I misted with the Maya Mists and then outlined with our Micron Pigma Brush Pen .   I used old torn sheet music on which I used an ink sweeper and Paris Trunk Walnut ink to help age the paper.   I really do like the soft effects Paris Trunk inks give, they can be dee...
