Jean's Favorite States

Happy Sunday to Everyone, hoping your weekend has been glorious. I am a Northeast girl transplanted to the Southwest - an almost perfectly diagonal move!    Some of you may know that my husband surprised me one day by asking if I would like to take a trip to Arizona and I said, what the heck!  Little did I know... That trip started an adventure which provided us with many opportunties, friendships and tales to tell.   I will share more with you when I write my Arizona blog post this month. Today I will focus on Pennsyvania, my home state, it always will be 'home'.   PA is so rich in the history that formed our great country.   Pittsburgh Skyline Did you know; One of the original 13 colonies, Pennsylvania was founded by William Penn.   Pennsylvania  (Penn's woods)  became the second state, after Delaware, to ratify the U.S. Constitution.  In the American Civil War (1861-1865),  Pennsylvania was the site of the Batt...

Jean's Post Sunday May 31

Final day for MD Hobby & Craft metal projects at AlteredPages. I'm sure our Team will continue working with the Fabulous MD products in the future.    We sure hope you have enjoyed seeing all the diverse projects made with metal.   Who knew? OR use s pray glue to attach the paper to the metal. The metal allows for approximately 1/2 inch  border on both sides with 7 spaces each 1 9/16 inch wide to accommodate each week.   The height can be larger since you ...

May in Arizona (I think it is!)

Howdy Folks from cool and damp Arizona! It has been glorious in Phoenix and we are loving it! The down side is the pool isn't as warm as it could be by now, so swimming will get a late start.  The up side, the windows are all open and the breezes are fabulous.  It is usually in the high 90's to low 100's by now, today is 65 degrees!!   As promised, the Winner from our Mother's Day Linkup Blog Party is... Patricia Weber!    CONGRATS   I am sharing a fun little MD Hobby & Craft metal mesh project for you today. Spring Sprouts I started by painting a large wooden spool with Terri Sproul Mica Mixers and then added green glitter (for Spring) I took my MD Hobby & Craft silver mesh and folded the raw edges over a ruler twice to make them snag free. It molds so easily. I then used AlteredPages Collage 1785 Bottle Cap Florals and punched the images with a circle punch. They were uniform in size to create front ...
