Lost Coast Designs Inspiration

Jean here to tell you about the fabulous company we have partnered with in July. Lost Coast was the first stamp company we added to our website.  The creative artistry and original designs have always been some of my favorites. Linda and her partner are always traveling the world to offer stamps at shows and events.  I'm not sure when they get time to sleep!  Please take time to review the stamps we offer and then visit their website too.    Whatever your style, you can find it at AlteredPages.com and Lost Coast Designs Stamps .  Thanks for visiting and remember,  share some kindness!

Lost Coast Designs THICK & THIN!

Thick and Thin a stamp by Lost Coast Designs which has been in my crafting stash for a few years  is perfect for a male themed card or project.  Today I am sharing a stamped and layered paper card design. I started by pulling out a host of products available from Altered Pages which included this stamp. I love working with a more neutral palette when creating with a male in mind.  The Durable and Devotion Paper Pads from Authentique are perfect to go with my kraft card scalloped edge base . The front of this card base design exposes some of the back inside of the card, so I chose to work with this to add some further interest to my layers.  I took a piece of embossed black cardstock and stuck this across the bottom of the back inside.  A white card insert to write my message will be layered over this when I go to use the card. Now turning my attention back to the front of my card I cut my papers to size and inked the edges of them r...

I am so Tickled

Lost Coast Designs Stamps has me tickled! And this fabulous Lost Coast Designs Stamp is what has made me feel that way. There are 4 stamps in the series of doodled feathers , I used only one here and changed the appearance with markers. Here is an example of mounting stamps on acrylic blocks when you do not have mounting material (sticky spongey sheets that you cut to fit each stamp).   I have used all sorts of double-sided tapes,  even a Zyron tape.  Simply attach the tape to the block and then press the stamp onto the tape. VIOLA. When you are done, no mess! As you can tell, I do like my markers for so many projects. After coloring them, I cut them sort of loose, not really a fussy or fancy cut.  I then added a black paper to the back for more dimension.  I layered three together for the front of the card. I wasn't sure if I would make a card or another mobile.   We have these lovely black pearl card sets ...

Winged Girl stamped on Monoprints

This week I've used the lovely Winged Girl f rom Lost Coast Designs, in a successful attempt to improve (not to mention destash) some prints from a pile of less-than-stellar monotypes: Here she's stamped on a deli paper print. This image is on craft paper--after stamping with Versafine, I dried the ink with a heat gun, and used a straight edge to tear the image to a size that fit some premade craft paper cards. This one is my favorite! Have a wonderful Thursday! :)trisha Gel Press Printing plate paint ink cardstock
