Skeletal Remains

Is YOUR tag added to AlteredPages Facebook group? I was intrigued by this softly toned Skeleton from Collage 3091.   It's not your ghoulish  guy , but a muted rendition.   I began by decoupaging torn vintage text pages to the base tag. Then used an ink pad to randomly cover the tag, leaving some areas without color.    I fancy cut the skeleton parts and glued them down on the paper.   The real fun began when I mixed some brown reinker with water and soaked a piece of cheesecloth to gain an aged effect. Allow to dry on the CLOTHESLINE! The dyeable seam binding was added to the water ink mixture. I added some black and dipped the ribbon, removed it and added some red and dipped it again. Each time a bit of the ink stayed on the top of the water and created a mottled coloration.   I removed the wet ribbon from the ink water onto a paper towel to take away some excess water, then rolled it into a ball in my palm and al...

Okay, I might use tags when I make stuff.  Maybe. cat themed book, with pockets full of tags This book is full of colored tags with quotes and stamping and collage images, with jute for pulls Tags made from patterned papers--these were for an Altered Pages Christmas Alphabetica kit. Another book full of tags that are books, "bound" together with my favorite lightbulb shaped pins.
