Is it getting Chilly??

You might think it is based on my sweet little project today. Howdy, It's Jean with another Foundations Decor item for the winter holidays. This sweet little tree is a place card or photo holder.  High-quality wood with a metal spindle for the photo and a little MDF heart for more decoration. 2 x 2 1/2 wood only, add the metal and it reaches  5 1/2 inches tall.   I used very simple ingredients for the project. Foundations Decor Wooden Pine Tree Mica Aleenes Glue scissors Jute and Wood Trim ~ 75% off last year! Lime Green acrylic paint   So easy and so colorful.  This may inspire you to use more than papers.  Think paints, glitters, baubles, pearls and most anything that you can glue onto the wood. Stay tuned for more fab wood from our Team and Foundations Decor. p.s. this week all Foundations Decor is 10% off!

More fun with Gypsy Laser Cuts and Altered Pages!

Welcome! Today I have for you something a little boho...a little Gypsy. What a perfect pairing with our partner this month...Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.   I have made for you a Sari Silk, beaded, charmed and bejeweled necklace.  The crowning jewel on this piece, however is not a jewel at all... it is a Gypsy Laser Cut Clock Hand .     This is what we started with, Sari Silks, charms, and the hour hand laser cut. I want to point out that this is not a silver toned necklace or gold toned piece. I purposefully used silver tone, gold tone, semi-precious beads, wood beads and crystals.    I wanted this to truly go with anything.  This is also not symmetrical. This is whimsically asymmetrical and actually convertible....keep reading.  :-) I embossed the clock hand in a few different colors of embossing powder. Basically, I used variations of gold, silver and a glit...

Welcome!!! If you visit the blog often, and I know you do, you are  well aware of the fun partnership for the month of July between   Altered Pages  and  Leaky Shed Studio . This idea came to me when I saw the sweet little  Barn Swallow  from The Leaky Shed.  They gave our AlteredPages Creative Team such fun chipboard to play with.  Pretty cool job this is, I tell ya!  The next few pictures document the supplies & tools I used.   (too perfect)       ...

Wrapped Up

A few weeks ago I asked Jean about these amazing Sari Silk ribbons that she got for the store. I had been inspired by some beautiful creations that an online friend does with ribbons, fibers, beads and such. I wanted to create a wrapped bracelet my style! with some beautiful remnants [I LOVE upcycling], some altering with my favorite alcohol ink markers, and of course beads and charms. I hope you enjoy! Along with the gorgeous Sari Silk Ribbons, Jean sent these fabulous charms and beads. they are a great silvery-pewter color which makes them PERFECT for coloring with Alcohol Inks. If you don't have alcohol inks, the next best thing for coloring them [and in my opinion the BEST option] is with your alcohol based markers...Spectrum Noir, Copics, Sharpies, BIC Mark-Its are all alcohol based. They make it easy to make your accessories match your ribbons. Figure out the length of your wrap up by wrapping an length of beads [loosely strung], or your ribbon around your w...
