STENCILS X 3

I thought of Primary and the idea was born.   Primary colors = 3.   I challenged myself to use THREES for the project.    White cardstock base had 3 acrylic paints applied with 3 STENCILS .    I also used three applicators, Brush , Brayer , and  Spouncer .   Three washi tapes were incorporated and finally accented with black and white pens in three of each color circles.  Simple and satisfying! Please visit the website for our Stencil and Floral Sale this month, welcome Spring with Fresh Flowers!

Spring Equinox

Rebirth, Renewal and Refresh The  vernal equinox , also called the  Spring Equinox , marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, occurs on Tuesday, March 20 at 12:15  P.M. EDT.  On this day, the Sun rises due east and sets due west. In the Southern Hemisphere, this date marks the  autumnal equinox . Spring is associated with rebirth and renewal, therefore Easter is such an iconic Holiday.  The Easter date travels as it is based on the approximate time of the   Jewish Passover,  which was celebrated on the first   full moon   following the vernal equinox. This soon led to Christians celebrating Easter on different dates. At the end of the 2nd century, some churches celebrated Easter on the day of the Passover, while others celebrated it on the following  Sunday . Flowers play such an important role for Spring and Easter, that is why I chose to create a floral stenciled project this week.  ...

ATC Doublet

I have had a manic week but managed to get this little piece created with some of the gorgeous images from Altered Pages .  I used a few different techniques on this one. I began by choosing three images from Altered Pages Celestial  Images collage printable The two white card  ATC cards were first stained with coffee and water and left to dry. With  washi tape  I bound the two ATC cards together. I used text and steampunk background stamps and brown ink on top of the stain.  After this dried I added watercolor patches on top of the stamped images for colour.  Once dried the images were fussy cut and collaged onto the background on both the back and the front (one image each) and the center three images. After the images were stuck down well enough and dried. I added more color with the paint. Added some scribbled border with a black pen, shading with the paints  and white dots front, back a...
