A Class of Flowers

Let's celebrate the flowers that Spring brings us - Summer brings even more blooms. I do love to see smiling faces and we had that!   There are so many variations of paper flowers to be made, we have several styles for you to enjoy. I was privileged to teach a paper flower class and the lovely ladies who attended were so very much fun!   All work for the Arizona Cardinals Football team .  Their jobs are intense and require precision and VERY LEFT BRAIN functions. I told them they had to check that at the door because we were going to get loose and funky! Here are some of the photos.  I do believe they taught me a few things!   The "group leader or Mother Hen" brought all the toolbox needs and then some!  Work talk was discouraged and laughter was the main focus.  We excelled at that for sure!  Each lady  became more adventurous and creative as we went along.  They laughed and showed off...

Alice's Tag

Alice in Wonderland is always a favorite. She got into my head and I couldn't stop thinking about her...so my next tag is all about Alice. I began with our jumbo tag and grabbed the "Alice" colors of paper, along with embellishments and the original art stamp plate from the Muse.  I like to get double duty from supplies, so I often use things that were meant for other things! I created a pocket and inserted the mini playing cards of the Queen of Hearts and a Jack of Spades.    Nex, I stamped Alice, cut out from the stamp plate and used our acrylic block with double sided tape to add her image on bold red paper.   I bit of washi tape and a small rose charm finished her.             Then a...

Hope is the Thing with Feathers

Hi everyone! It's me,  Tonya , and I'm here to share an art journal page I created using a junk mail envelope as a base for my page. I used some of the awesome collage images that are on the  AlteredPages  site along with some of their other great products which I have listed below. Also we are cross promoting   Leaky Shed's   assortment of chipboard dies this month too. I started out with a business size (#10) envelope as my base for my page. I had a ton of left over scraps from mini banners I had cut out.  I hated to throw away all of those cool wavy scraps, so I decided to use them on my page. I started by applying decoupage medium to the page and then covering it with the leftover scraps. Once I got it the way I wanted it I applied more  decoupage medium  over the top of the scraps to seal it so to speak. Once dry, I used a number stamp down the side of the page. Then I used an empty toilet roll and coke lid d...
