Hi Everyone!  Danie here today with just a quick post and it's a bit late also.  Having been sick the past few days after our return from Melbourne and now that winter is well and truly here you could say the title of my post sums up how I am feeling Vintage (old) and Blue.  But it really is the name of the Collection from Glitz that I have used for my card today. Altered Pages have a range of Glitz Paper Collections and coordinating trims, embellishments and stamps for you to choose from all of which have a wonderful vintage feel. My card is made using an image from the Vintage Hats Collage Sheet - AP-11, Glitz Vintage Blue 6 x 6 Papers, Trims and the coordinating Clear Stamp Set.  The individual half pearls, pearl trim and blue ink are from my stash.   Also just a reminder that you still have time to enter this month's Altered Pages Challenge - Baby Dolls .  Jean has added a number fabulous item to the prize pack you could win earlier ...

Hi Everyone!  It's Danie here today sharing a quick card I made which came together easily and beautifully thanks to the coordinating range of Glitz Products and a few other items available from Altered Pages . I used items from the Glitz Vintage Blue Collection which includes 6 x 6 Papers , Clear Stamps , and Trim .  It all coordinates so beautifully together. Also from Altered Pages is the new Two Scoops  Two Tone Textured Cardstock from Bazzill Basics, the Fabric Flowers and the Gold Niji Pearlescent WaterColor I used to color in my image with.  All of these items were part of a recent order I received and have been playing with. The Espresso and Mustard Seed Ink along with the Gold Metallic Dew Drops and Cream Cardstock are the only other things I had to add from my other stash. I have torn and sanded back the piece of dark brown Two Scoops Cardstock to reveal the lighter core color while using another piece which I haven't sanded for my card base. ...

I created this little book to keep smaller pictures in.  Little notes can be written along side the pictures to keep those special memories, too.  The front cover is made using the 6" x 6" Vintage Blue Paper Pad by Glitz .  I made a rosette using the the butterfly paper from the  8 x 8 Glitz Paper Pad  and added the yellow ribbon and gorgeous butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies (AP-1056) Collage Sheet from Altered Pages .  Now for a little tip...I didn't  have a brad in a color that I liked to go with the papers I had chosen so I mixed up some of the new Terri Sproul Mixers sold at Altered Pages and painted the tops of the brads to match my book.  Isn't that a fun idea?  This summer have some fun and create several of these little books to put small pictures and mementos in.  They make a great place to put those smaller school pictures in, too!  Write a little message on each page and give it to someone special....

 This elegant paper from the Vintage Blue 6 x 6 paper pad by Glitz was the inspiration for the decoration on this bag. Toile is one of my favorite designs so I especially like this paper.  I've spent the last couple of days creating a special card for a wedding we will soon be attending and I noticed this gorgous paper sitting there waiting to be used.  As I worked, I remembered my own wedding and all of the work that went into it and thought about wedding favors for the guests.  Then, I realized that I had the instructions for this little bag and that paper would be perfect to create a party favor bag for each wedding guest so for the fun of it I created this one.  I added the Dance in the Sunshine Ribbon by Glitz to tie the treat bag closed and inked the edges using the Dark Brown Maya Road Ink Cube   to create a frame around the patterned paper that helped to add a little more touch of elegance to it.   Can you see one of the...
