Rubber Stamp Decoupage

Fancy yourself a goat?  Decoupage is possibe many different ways. In this particular project I can have some control over the content. I used: Lost Coast Designs Rubber Stamps    Stazon Ink    Paper    Medium    Wood object to decoupage on    Stickles    Stamp your image of choice onto paper. Ink it to your tastes. Fussy cut it. Use medium over image and set aside to dry. Paint or draw or ink over image again if you wish. Medium on object, place image, more medium. Let dry. I used parts of the rubber stamped image to create more interest.  There you have it. It is ready to hang. PLEASE JOIN OUR TEAM IN USING LOST COAST STAMPS IN JULY, AS A SPECIAL TREAT THEY WILL ALL BE 10% OFF FOR THE MONTH OF JULY - just click here. Ciao for now, -Trish Alger

"Home Is Where The Heart Is!"

My home has always been wherever the love of my life is. When my husband and I married in 1984, that is when my life truly began. I used the following: Foundations Décor Sweet Heart House    Printer Copy of Picture and Text Paints and Pastes and Mediums      Inks    Stencils    Hardware Foundations  Decor   Sweet Heart House   was the perfect blank canvas to celebrate our 33 years. Instead of transferring one of our wedding photos I decided to just decoupage a printer copy of a picture.  I also printed the text on the printer and then got to work. Next I added some texture with paint and mediums through a stencil. Back as well. Also painted the heart. I used the following as well as pastes. The back of the house: The front of the house: I love the tones and the texture of this piece.   The bracket adds dimension.   Thank you for perusi...

Video and DIY project with Dixie Belle Paint

Happy Sunday Folks! I hope you enjoy seeing project tips with Dixie Belle Paint products and an AWESOME DIY item. First  up is some video from Suzanne at Dixie Belle.... Now add glaze.... Just so happens these are chair videos and I have another DIY chair I made to share today.   I really embellished and added hand painted accents along with bead trim, glass knobs, and wood appliques.   Go a little crazy! The wood appliques were added first on front and back. Front on the stile, back on the top rail.    A base coat of cream paint was then painted over with pink and aged with glaze.   Sanding was done to create aging too.   Clear Coat was applied to seal it all except the knobs and beads. Glass knobs are used to accent stiles Seat decoupaged, hand painted, dusted with glitter and clear coated Bead Trim was hot glued to the back side of the apron  under the seat.  ...
