Is it getting Chilly??

You might think it is based on my sweet little project today. Howdy, It's Jean with another Foundations Decor item for the winter holidays. This sweet little tree is a place card or photo holder.  High-quality wood with a metal spindle for the photo and a little MDF heart for more decoration. 2 x 2 1/2 wood only, add the metal and it reaches  5 1/2 inches tall.   I used very simple ingredients for the project. Foundations Decor Wooden Pine Tree Mica Aleenes Glue scissors Jute and Wood Trim ~ 75% off last year! Lime Green acrylic paint   So easy and so colorful.  This may inspire you to use more than papers.  Think paints, glitters, baubles, pearls and most anything that you can glue onto the wood. Stay tuned for more fab wood from our Team and Foundations Decor. p.s. this week all Foundations Decor is 10% off!

I wanted to  create my own MCM Christmas book, with a cover page, focal point made in: Activa's Modena Soft Polymer Air Drying Clay     Now to gather the parts for my Merry Memory Book: - Activa Modena Soft Air Drying Polymer Clay    - 6" x 6" Chipboard Book    - 6" x 6" Papers       - Holiday Image printed on cardstock      - Aleene's Tacky Glue     - Adhesive Tape     - Art Anthology Paints     - Jute for trim    - Ribbon    - Red Foil Tape    - Stickles    - Rubber Stamps    - Brayer    - Palette knife    - Stencil    I wanted the clay to have time to dry, so I rolled a portion into a thin sheet (about 1/16") and placed ...

GRATITUDE Avalanche

We are so very Thankful for our Design Team  and our Customers. Family is such an important part of my life, this holiday is one of my favorites. It's a time to just enjoy each other and talk over a bountiful table of blessings. When I say family, it also means friends who join us. Create a thankful jar by having each person write why they are thankful and have everyone pick one from the jar & read it. Preparing for the feast Here is a creation for our Thanksgiving table..... Each person will have one at the table.    Here is the process... Start with a wood ATB , you can sand it but not necessary.  I like a rustic finish for this project.  Chalk paint is so perfect for this type of work.   Wood preparation is not needed.   Different brushes will provide differing results.  First I used a bristle brush to roughly apply the chalk paint with the dry brush technique (adding no water)....
