Supplies: Prima Ascot Flowers Vintage Book page Gold Leaf Duo Glue Double side tape Rhinestones Cardstock base with envelope          I choose an interesting page from a vintage book.  I cut it to show the text I wanted.  I used double sided tape to adhere to the black card base.   I use the amazing Duo glue to achieve some leafing on my flower and the paper.   The flower was attached to the black base, then rhinestones were added for accent, echoing the reddish color of the page accent.  More leafing was added to pop the corners and echo the gold on the flower.     The black base was added to a cream card which has a matching envelope.    YOU can make the most superb, remarkable and fantastic projects with PRIMA! Only recently have I read about Frida Kahlo one of Mexico's most famous artists.  Just in her teens she suffered injuries from a bus accident that would cause health issues her whole life.  She was famous for her self portraits showing the pain she suffered. Her marriage was turbulent at times. Her art was an expression of herself and life.  A beautiful and compassionate woman, she died in 1947 at the young age of 47.  There is so much to learn about the life of Frida, I plan to pick up her biography and read more about Frida the artist soon. We have partnered with USArtQuest and wow, do they have some awesome, creativity inspiring product.  I don't just like metallics I LOVE them. Incorporate them with texture and I'm in heaven! I hope you enjoy this mixed media work. USArtQuest is partnering with us this month. Paper is one of my addictions and USArtQuest has some of the most amazing handmade papers.  In the blue and gold paper I used today I saw waves, waves that would be perfect for one of the Altered Pages lighthouses!    This paper has so much texture!   More beautiful USArtQuest papers!       Supplies: USArtQuest Handmade Paper USArtQuest Gilding USArtQuest Duo Card base Image: Lighthouse Collage Sheet Double-sided tape Dimensionals Gold Pen thin chipboard     With Duo attach USArtQuest Gilding to the base of the card.     Adhere the beautiful hand made paper with Double-sided tape .     Mount the image on thin chipboard, then line the edge with a thin gold line.  Adhere with foam dimensional.
