 With Valentine's Day just around the corner during the month of January the Altered Pages Design Team will be creating projects inspiring "LOVE makes the World to Round"!  Be sure to stop by each day for ideas for your own handmade Valentines!   Love's Offering!         Supplies: Punchinella Manila tag Doily Ink Red Glue Stick Dew Drops Glue Gold Pen Tulle         With Punchinella  apply red ink to the Manila tag .  Outline tag with Gold Pen .   Cut image from collage sheet, adhere to doily with Glue Stick . Adhere to manila tag.   With Glue  attach Dew Drops  to the bottom of the manila tag .     Sign on the back like we did in grade school!     Come back for more inspiration tomorrow!

Today, I have for you a Christmas card that would be great for the guy in your life.   It is a bit masculine, but not so much that you really could give it to anyone.  I used a great little VW Bus image as my focal point. I also used beautiful chipboard snowflakes in this card design.  If you have been keeping up with the design team this month you know that we have had a theme of lace.   I thought that these looked a bit lacey, but were not too feminine.   You can find links to everything I used at the bottom of this post.  So, let's jump right into the process;  Here, I am getting ideas for the layout after tearing out my two collage images... Getting that first coat of glitter paint on my chipboard snowflakes... I chose to only add a bit of sparkle to my snowflakes.   I wanted to keep the brown, woodsy undertone intact.  Inking all of the edges... ...

Happy December Friends! The Altered Pages Design Team is focusing on lace this month.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  I have done basically an easy project...it is just time consuming.   However, it is well worth the time and effort (and carpel tunnel syndrome.)  My finished piece is quite stunning at over 2 feet wide...that is quite a big bang for your buck.  Y ou may have seen this type of project before.  They are nothing new, but they are oh so lovely, do-able for just about any craft ability level and I thought this complimented the lace theme perfectly.  I am incorporating lace doilies into my piece.  First a commercial from Jean -  Read to the bottom to see your gift for this weekend! Hi there!   Thanks for stopping by today.  I have for you today part 2 to a post from a couple weeks ago (you can see part 1  here  ).   If you follow the blog you might remember that I created a cute double sided cupcake and promised you that I would give her a perfect little "Home."   Well, here is the finished project.  Here is how part 2 started out.  I began with the word HOME made from pine and perfectly cut out by Foundations Decor.  I then added a pale blue and white acrylic paint wash to all of the letters.  Next, I added layers consisting of vintage text, fun papers, a large stamp and a pretty little star collage image.  Then, came a bit more embellising with acrylic paint in white and black for some pop around the edges and a vintage key.  Get it, the key to your home...
