Spring is Happening!

HELLO LOVELY READERS ~ I AM SHARING CREATIVE SPRING THEMED WOOD BLOCK PROJECTS TODAY.    We had a class for Spring wood blocks this past week.  I was blown away by the creativity of the participants.   We provided the basic parts and pieces and let them have at it!   One of the girls is so afraid of creating and wound up with an awesome out of the box creation!  This is one of my projects ~ We began with raw wood blocks  3.5" x 4.5"  I also added a brand new copper penny and a yellow ceramic butterfly plus the glass knob.  More blocks, with a Shabby look The wood was painted in an array of Spring colors using  DecoArt / Americana paints . Some girls used sandpaper to soften the edges of the blocks after paint was applied.  This provided a lovely shabby effect.
