Wild West Dudes

At AlteredPages we are having a blast with  Lost Coast Designs Stamps . The variety and quality of the stamps are so able to fill your head with artistic ideas. I went out of my comfort zone and picked some stamp images I would not usually choose. They made me conjure up new project ideas. This post is a tale of two Cowboy Dudes who meet up after a trail ride. The Saloon was THE meeting place and welcomed all sorts of miscreants.   Dusty and tired, they gathered for some drinks, dancing and companionship.   I started by Stamping the image with my Donna Salazar Mix'd Media INKX black stamp pad.  I then fussy cut the images,  I am a bit OCD about that so I had to get out my Exacto knife too.  I used my KAI scissors which I have been cutting with for 7 years and they are still amazing!  I wanted to play with colors and mediums, so I got out my metallic wax, inks, and stamp pads.   I added gold Delicata ink...

Have you been traveling the USA with Altered Pages this month?  We have lots more stops to make--here is a look at a little Wild West themed mini book:  The pages have a tab binding, the cover has a bookcase type wrap of denim distressed cardstock and jute-- The denim and jute "wrap" slides off.  Lots of Wild West photos and quotes printed on vellum--you can see the horse peeking through the vellum in this layout--- "If your horse ain't wantin' to go there, then neither should you."  Here he is, the fine fellow!  "Scars are cowboy tattoos with better stories."  "May your shootin' be sharp and your boots be shiny."
