Tribute to Nature Tryptich

Jen Rothstein here for AlteredPages.com Today I have a short and sweet project. A Nature themed project, in our color of the month, GREEN!! I am making this project for a "secret someone" and I had a very specific idea in mind. I hope you will forgive me this time, for personalizing.  I wanted to share it with you anyway, as it mostly in green and the techniques I am using will work with so many of the available AP products that you could make several of these in varied themes and colors. I glue paper to the canvas. This one is from my stash but here are some other great papers that would work perfectly for this type of project. After the glue has dried, I cut them apart and trim off any excess. Now I add all my collage elements.  T...

July Begins with Dixie Belle Paints!

I started with an 8x10 Canvas Art Board.     I then added a bunch of Decoupage with Vintage Text Pages   and scraps of 12 x 12 Papers   that I hung onto because I just loved them and ...

Thanksgiving Canvas

Hello again friends and Happy Friday! Stephanie here and as you may know  Altered Pages  is teaming up with  Craft Attitude  all this month. I can honestly say the Craft Attitude printable film is so fun to work with.  You will see here that using Craft Attitude, a 8x10 canvas board as well as beautiful collage images I create a Thanksgiving themed project that I think would make the sweetest hostess gift.   I started by preparing the canvas with gesso.  I then added a mottled layer of beautiful Art Anthology Acrylics. (sorry this is somewhat blurry, you get the idea, yummy gold and burgundy colors as a base) Next, I trimmed to size a piece of burlap and adhered it to my canvas with a few dabs of glue.  Then, came time to add my main image using the Be Thankfully Calm collage sheet from Altered Pages.  This was printed on the Craft Attitude film.  Because my main image was text it was very impo...
