It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year Altered Spoons Canvas

Hi everyone.  Barbara here with my Altered Pages DT post using these adorable  wooden spoons .  I decided to go out of my comfort zone, i.e., think outside of the box.  My first thoughts were to decorate the spoons as just that, spoons, but then I decided to use them as architectural elements instead.  I must say, I am quite happy that I did. Cover an 8x10  Canvas Panel  with  Burlap  using  Aleene's Tacky Glue .  Spread gold crackle paste through a stencil, keeping edges uneven for that artsy look. Allow the paste to dry and crackle naturally on the canvas. Mix one drop of Blue  Splash Inks  into an  Ultra Fine Mist Sprayer , fill sprayer with water, and randomly mist the light blue color over the canvas, concentrating on the gold stenciled areas for contrast. Paint three  Wood Spoons  with  Timeless Cream chalk paint  and let dry.  Use a spatula to spread white crackle paste ...

Magnetic Memo Board

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my regularly scheduled post.  As you know by now, we are featuring products from this month's fabulous sponsor,  MD Hobby & Craft .  The design team has been making some wonderful projects for you that should really get those creative juices flowing. I have been trying to figure out ways to display some of my artwork in my studio to give me my own inspiration and, hopefully, get my creative juices flowing.  When I received this  1' x 2' Lincane Perforated Aluminum Sheet , oh boy did the ideas start coming.  I made this magnetic memo board with other supplies I had on hand, just waiting for the perfect project. Print the two Altered Pages collage sheets listed in the supply list below onto Craft Attitude (CA).  I suggest doing this first to allow the ink to dry on the CA sheets.   Remember to reverse the images for printing if you have any words on anything. Insert  12"x12" Magnetic Steel Sheet...

Vintage Ice Skate Transformed

I have had lots of fun using Craft Attitude printable film this month and I have one final project to share with you.... I transformed a pair of vintage ice skates into a fun piece of art that you could use to decorate your home, give as a hostess gift or as a fun personalized present for anyone on your gift giving list!   The best part...you can decorate both sides differently.  I went with a Victorian Christmas on one side and an Ivory Angel on the other for a generic Winter feel so that it can be displayed for several weeks this holiday season. Craft Attitude Printable Film Altered Pages: Victorian Christmas ; Christmas Ivy ; Ivory Angels ; Aleene's Tacky Glue; IMAGINE Crafts Ink And here is a handy little Snapguide on how to go about making one of these Vintage Skates all your own: Check out How to Alter a Christmas & Winter Themed Ice Skate by Roni Johnson on Snapguide .
