Life's a Beach Tin w/ Beach Rules! ATC's - IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko

As you know this month the Altered Pages Design Team is fortunate enough to be co-hosting a month full of fun with IMAGINE Crafts /Tsukineko combining the wonderful products of both companies into our creations. For my final project of the month I wanted to share  a fun box full of ATC's which are in fact:  BEACH RULES! The tin was inked initially with Mellow Mint Opaque StazOn ink to which I applied a layer of GlazOn. I then added Blue Hawaii, Midnight Blue and Spiced Chai StazOn Midi's.  The fun group of friends at the beach image is from the collage sheet On The Beach  .  I added a bit of wadded glassine envelope, micro beads a tiny star fish all adhered using Vintage Creative Medium. When you flip the lid open you'll find the...Beach Rules ATC's!  Inside the cover of the tin is an image of a wooden arrow pointing the way to the swimming hole.   But this is also Beach Rule  #1 - Swim Often! Beach Rules...

Dragonfly Dreams

Hi everyone! It's me  Tonya ! First off let me tell you I'm super excited to be a part of Altered Pages/Mailbox Muse design team. The thought of having hundreds of vintage images to create with simply makes me giddy. :-)   I want to share my first project I created using inks and markers from this month's partner,  IMAGE Crafts   and products from  Altered Pages .  If any of you know anything about me you know I love to alter things and use stuff that would normally be thrown away in a lot of my projects.  I started out with the empty packaging from one of those XLG Sizzix die cuts  and cut it down so I could run it through the diecut machine to cut the page out. Next, I embossed both ends with a small Polk a dot embossing folder. Then I inked the embossed surface and some of the edges with the following Emerald City, Blue Hawaii and Gothic Purple StazOn Inks.  Once the ink dried I dug into my own stash of scraps of paper...

Boho Chic Lantern

Hi everyone and welcome back to the fun happening here at Altered Pages while we partner up, during the month of June, with Imagine Crafts and Tsukineko.   Today, I have for you a boho chic diy candle lantern made with products from both  Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko  and Altered Pages . For this project I used my StazOn Midis to add color and dimension to various sizes of sheet metal. I also used charms, chain and hand dyed seam binding to create the look I was after. A very important step in colorizing metal with StazOn is to always use GlazOn. StazOn...GlazOn. They go together! Apply your desired color of StazOn ink to the sheet metal remembering to cover the surface with GlazOn after and let each layer dry before moving on to the next. If you so choose you can easily add your favorite collage images sprayed with Goosebumps to give that embossed and textural look. Just hole punch and add a jump ring...
