Small Makes are always a great way to use up left over bits and pieces from other projects be it collage images, text, stamped images, punched shapes, papers etc. The latest craze this year for tiny creations to trade and swap are Artist Trading Coins, which are similar to an Artist Trading Card but instead of a rectangle they are circular - a circle 2.5 inches in diameter to be exact.
I have been once again tiding up my art space and found I had lots of Gelli Prints and handmade papers piling up, so I spent a few hours cutting these up into various smaller project pieces such as backgrounds for cards and ATC's. Some I decided to cut into coins.
I then got out my box that I collect my left over scraps in and played around with ideas.
Finally settling on a few, I inked the edges of each of my elements and glued my selected bits and pieces down. I kept mine as simple as this today, but you could always add further stamping and doodling to the backgrounds and edges too.
