Going in Circles with Lost Coast Designs

I am seeing CIRCLES!

I have always enjoyed working with Lost Coast Designs Stamps, they make my mind work in new ways.

I used the 5 Circles Lost Coast Designs Stamp because the freedom and irregularity spoke to me.  I've always been an abstract kind of girl.
I rarely have a plan when I create, which can be a detriment or a blessing.   I get a basic idea and then get going.

I like the BOHO look to the circles and wanted them to be very colorful.  I used memento markers for coloring and my KAI scissors for cutting. KAI is THE best scissor ever.

Now what to do with the circles?  Card?  Tag?
How about a whimsical hanging to place by the window to catch the breeze.   I used the translucent vellum Serviette papers for a base, cutting them to somewhat match the size of the circles. I then outlined the vellum in a wonky manner to give definition.

I used Zig Two Way glue to attach the circles, front and back. ZIG Two Way can be either permanent or repositionable (sort of like a post-it note).

Next, the attachment begins.  I used a hole punch and then inserted embroidery thread in a Larkspur knot (see photo below).   I have grommets and a Cropodile, using them to reinforce the holes and capture the thread for a sturdy hanger.

I sure hope your weekend is all you want.  Sprinkle some kindness around as you go.

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
