Fairy Postcard!

We are in a new month with a new partner...
as you have already heard Altered Pages is partnering with
Faerie Song Art Stamps

Today I have created a fantasy tag with the Fairy Song Art Stamp ~ Megan... I love the deeply etched red rubber!

First the Postcard Tag was washed with water then painted with assorted colors of  Gelatos.  To paint, rub the Gelato on the craft mat and use a wet water brush to pick up the color.  The keeps the color/painting looking like watercolors.

Supplies:
Fairy Song Art Stamp ~ Megan
Postcard Tag
Gelatos assorted colors
Water Brush
Black ink & Brown Ink
Tacky glue
Gold Gilded Leafing
Dylusion Stencil
Petaloo Flowers
Flower Ribbon
Thin White Chipboard
Lace
Ribbon
Tulle

Then the Fairy Song Art Stamp ~ Megan  was stamp on directly the tag with black ink and stamped a second time on thin white chipboard.  Fussy cut the image stamped on chipboard.

The wings of the butterfly, fairy and the leaf were painted with Gelatos.  Gold Gelato over the colors gave the wings a shimmer. Paint the chipboard image.  Let them dry.  To speed drying time use a heat gun.

With brown ink randomly stencil on the tag.

Give the tag a little bling... with tacky glue randomly add Gold Gilded Leafing.

Add lace and flower ribbon... and Petaloo Flowers.

Add ribbons and tulle to the top of the tag.

Megan almost looks like she is flying!

Come back tomorrow for more fairy inspiration!!!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
