breathe--a textured mixed media canvas

New supplies are always inspiring--this month I had the pleasure of trying out some yummy Royal Langnickel acrylic paints.

So sorry I didn't take process photos--basically this 6x6 canvas first got a layer of Vintage Text papers, adhered with gel medium.

Lots of layers of paints, a stamping of the word "breathe," (it was one of those days, know what I mean?), and some scratching into the barely damp paints . . .

(If you've never tried gel medium, Altered Pages has a great little sampler size of glazes and the gels--the perfect way to try these products out without committing to a big buy!)
