Valentine peeky party and a little organization with trisha

(More on this later!)
So I made a whole mess of Valentines, but you know what?  You're only getting little sneaky peeks, no apologies, but you can clearly see the super pretty Altered Pages Vintage Valentine collage sheets I used, and plenty of the Vintage Text pages:

AND the hearts--LOVE those German scrap hearts!

Our theme here at the artsociates blog this month is crafty ORGANIZATION.  I don't consider myself very organized, but I do generally know where all my stuff is, because of this one simple tip:

KEEP EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SPOT--as in, don't move supplies around.  After use, return them to the same place everytime!  Also, I keep a couple of boxes of supplies handy.  One I call a "go box," with basic supplies, making it easy to grab and go wherever, whether to the living room or the car:
The other has basic bookbinding supplies:
Necessities all together, ready to create.  Much better than hunting for these supplies, ones that are generally used at the same time for the same type of projects.

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
