Art journaling with Jackie

Hello everyone and welcome to the next to the last day of January- already!
We here at Altered Pages are still partnering with DecoArt for these last two days- so a little bit more painting fun for you!

So I created a journal page on one of my favorite indulgences!
                                     Coffee of course!

I used (almost-one) the whole  "Take your coffee black" collage sheet from Altered Pages as well as a few of my favorite DecoArt Colors - both Americana and from the Media Acrylic line

I hope you came away inspired by my page today-

Altered Pages has so many collage sheets to choose from and has even added some new ones for the Chinese New Year of the Ram/Goat/Sheep !

Products used:
#3006 Take Your Coffee Black- Collage sheet-
DecoArt Americana-  Snow (Titanium) White
DecoArt Americana~Poppy
DecoArt Media Acrylic ~ Cobalt Teal Hue

  7. Jackie, that page on the right side could be copied, then you could cut it and use it in collage art. Love those circles. And if friends shouldn't drink alone I'm grabbing my coat and I'll be right over.

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
