JFF Tag

Hi crafty friends!

In case you haven't heard this month the Altered Pages "gang" is teaming up with Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.
I am already in love and I have only had time to play with one of their stamps so far.
I also wanted remind you to head over  here  to check out the Altered Pages December special on ALL DIGITAL collages.  This month any  *DIGITAL*  collage sheet is only $1.00!  Yes, $1.00!!!  Stock up now for all your crafting and collage needs for the entire year of 2015, for only a buck a piece!  This is only during December though!

Okay, back to the project.   :-)   I am going to share with you a quick little tag that I made using this crazy cool JFF stamp and Altered Pages products.

My tag today is not holiday related. I know that for most of us there is an endless supply of reasons to need a Christmas themed gift, but sometimes we have events or December birthdays to celebrate and we might not always want a holiday theme.
So, it is nice to have a card or tag ready to go in case
you need a "generic" little giftie.
That is what I am planning ahead for now.

I started with a large oversize tag that I had previous used to clean my Gelli plate.  I always try and clean my Gelli plate with something that I can work into a future project and I keep it in my stash.  This has a pretty metallic print that was in gold acrylic paint.  I then gathered some goodies that caught my eye and that I thought would go nicely with the adorable Zen-tangle
inspired JFF tree stamp that I chose.
I stamped the tree image with StazOn in black and then colored in with coral and mint green fine point markers.  I then added a few elements from Glitz and adhered them down with my Zig two way glue pen.  The little bits of fun I added from Glitz were WHATNOTS and Puffy Words in the "77" collection, but there are so many cute options of stickers, gems, dew drops, etc. at Altered Pages you will be sure to find your very own style.

Have fun making yours!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
