The Flower Fairy Alphabetica--a tiny hand bound book

Happy Thursday to you!!!  For my fairy themed, Sin City Stamps Partner project, I've started filling one of a series of tiny, hand stitched books.  Altered Pages had plenty of wonderful inspiration for this volume--lots of little embellishments, and the pièce de résistance, the Alphabet Fairies collage page.  Perfect for The Flower Fairy Alphabetica, yes?
The title was computer printed on some Glitz patterned paper, then glued to a very sturdy little chipboard plaque from Sin City Stamps.
This was attached to the book cover, which was coated with various paints, glitter, and crayon.

Here is the first layout--"A" for Apple Blossom:

You can see that little flourish all over the pages (from Sin City Stamps) is the perfect size for tiny book stamping.  It will definitely be appearing in future Alphabetica layouts!

I'm keeping the embellishments flat, or the book will end up exploding before I even get to "M," so a little tulle, the same Glitz patterned paper, some inks (hello, Teal Zeal), crayons, and the gold pennant scrap wrapped up the embellishing for the "A" pages.

Thank you for stopping by, I'll have more pages to share with you soon.  (Okay, you're right--eventually is more accurate!)

Have a great Thursday, :)trisha

    1. Thank you, Jackie! The collage page has some letters combined, so there are only 21 images to use (I think it was 21?). And I made sure to have enough pages, so this will be one volume!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
