A spooky light by the graveyard at night!

Hi Everyone, it's Danie here today bringing you my Halloween Project as Altered Pages team up with Sin City Stamps.  Here in Australia Halloween isn't a widely celebrated event, it has only become more popular in recent syears with all the youngsters wanting their share of the treats.  So creating something spooky really isn't my thing.

I was a little bit stumped at how I should proceed with this and upon viewing the chipboard pieces that arrived from Sin City Stamps, I immediately was thinking of some sort of shrine but it sort of evolved from there.

Altered Pages Supplies:- Steampunk Spells collection from G45, Gelatos, Black Ink, Kraft Bingo Number, Black Cardstock.
Sin City Stamps Supplies:- Shrine Chipboard Frame #3, Grave Stamp.

I created a cardboard box like base and turned my shrine into a Spooky Luminary.  My shrine made from the chipboard from Sin City Stamps, I firstly colored all my chipboard pieces with a combination of black ink and silver/grey Gelatos.  I assembled the back and two sides of my luminary and covered them with a paper from the Steampunk Spells collection from G45.  I stamped the wonderfully spooky image of the grave onto some white tissue paper with Black Versafine Ink, which I then attached to the ornate chipboard frame piece of my shrine chipboard set with some double sided tape.  I suspended it as the front of my luminary.  A small battery operated tea light candle creates a soft warm glow and I have raised this up on a little step so that the light lines up exactly and glows from the top of the tombstone as if it is being open and something is rising from the dead like you see in the horror films.
