Junk in the Trunk ATB

Hello Friends and welcome to the blog today. I have for you a continued bit of fun with our cross promo with the Altered Pages design team and the oh so talented bunch at Eileen Hull and Artists on the Block. I hope you have been able to view all of the amazing ATB's from both teams. I mean the projects have been beautiful, fun, fanciful and just plain AWESOME! The ATB that I have for you may just be a bit inappropriate...yes, I said inappropriate. My ATB is so loaded down with fun junk that it is just too much junk for the trunk. I hope you enjoy!

Seriously, you guys, you think I am going to use all this fun stuff...oh yes, I am going to try!!!

I started out with my ATB and added metallic tape to give it the retro travel trailer type of look. I used a bunch of fun retro collage sheets from Altered Pages.

You can see that here. I began building the silver metal tape and super fun collage images as well as a bit of fun retro polka dot ribbon.

A bit more detail here with collage and misc embellishments from Altered Pages.

I just loved the idea of including this fun little clown. He was actually left over from my Mailbox Muse Big Top Kit. I added a bit of trim and a Superman cape from my sons broken Hot-wheels cars...the Hot-wheels will make another cameo later in the project. hee hee hee

In this pic you can see a little flag on the back of my trailor...this was a toothpick and washi tape. How easy is that? Washi tape...Oh yeah!

Why is it a big deal that I still have my Christmas lights up at the end of May? They are just so cheery I really don't want to take them down.

I also just can't do without my lawn flamingo!

My trailer is all gassed up and loaded with the all of the "essentials". I even have all terrain tires so I can take my "junk" wherever I want to go! I told you the Hot-wheels would make another appearance. I used one of my sons old broken Hot-wheels monster trucks and shattered the plastic construct to get the wheels off the body of the monster truck. I hope you give one of these ATB's a shot...the possibilites are endless.

Make sure to check back...I say this often because you never know what the Altered Pages Design Team will be cooking up for you. Also, do yourself a favor and make sure to take a look at the AMAZING work done by Team ATB...I mean these pieces are incredible!

Have a great week!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
