what is collage chemistry?

Definition:
the result of compounding different products to achieve the transformation of their prior substance, therefor resulting in a work of art.

tag project:
using products from Robin's Nest and collage images from Altered Pages these delightful tags were constructed, crafted, and achieved.

they make great chemistry together don't you think?
This tags was achieved by following these steps:
apply acrylic inks onto a tag.
use a patterned stencil / acrylic paint
collage image - resource alteredpages.com glue image using matte medium.
rub-on - robinsnest-scrap.net
brush rim of tag with archival ink pad - black
(close up of tag)
This tag was achieved by applying the same techniques and method use as seen in the tag above.
Added a fun embellishment to this tag, by using a hole punch and these papers from
robin's nest Easter-Collection. Love the "glitter"
These tags were created by Design Team Member- April Cole.

  2. these are beautiful - love the lady cyclist! wonderful combination of techniques - and I love the nice warm summery colors.! What's your secret for acrylic paint - when I try to use it, the tag/whatever paper I'm using totally wrinkles and curls and never returns to it's naturally flat shape. Yours look great!

  3. Great tags--really bright colors on the lady cyclist. And I love how certain elements on the second tag go beyond the edge of the tag. Anne

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.

Hi all! Becky here today! I have been in a circle-mood lately & have been doing circles on everything! So why not do some circles with some of my Gelli Prints??? Here's a simple little card I made using 4 different circle punches, a black pen & some previously made Gelli prints! Hope you're enjoying Springtime in your area! Cheers!
