ANOTHER GREEN POST

Hello! I am posting my green piece today, since the challenge was officially put up yesterday. If you want to join us click HERE!

My piece is a tin with an accordion type album inside.

I started with a Tin and painted it green. I used a Manila Tag and a glue technique I learned from the Claudine Hellmuth class I'm taking. Then I used the pretty lady image from and Altered Pages collage sheet. I always use gauze on everything so some was added to the top left. And 3 mini roses and a piece of a broken bracelet were put on top. On the bottom, I used the "Bottle Cap Script" collage sheet (AP-1786) and some epoxy to make the 3 little buttons on the bottom.

Inside, I folded some cardstock accordion style for a mini album. I LOVE how this turned out!! Now I have to figure out who I will give it too???

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages. I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent! Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar. Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them. Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA! You have made your own solvent for literally pennies. You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a HUGE jar on the window sill! Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
