Hi Everyone, Danie here today with you. I have been playing heaps with my Gelatos so I wanted to share a quick and pretty spring card with you today which incorporates a number of different ways you can use them.
1. Stamping

Because Gelato's are water soluble you can use them to create your own color sprays. I particularly love using the Metallic Gelatos for this as they have an inbuilt shimmer. For my card I have chosen the blue and simply scrapped some of the Gelato off the stick and into a mini mister filled with water. You simply have to stir it in until it dissolves and you are ready to spray to your hearts content. I have randomly sprayed this across a piece of white card-stock for my project today.
3. Finger Painting
I love using this method to define embossed pieces. I have embossed my piece of cardstock which I had sprayed in the last step, with a pretty floral embossing folder. And then I simply pick up color from the Gelato's with my finger and rub randomly across the raised areas of my background.
4. Inking Edges and Framing
To finish my background and my stamped piece I took my blue Gelato and ran it around the edges of both pieces and then with my finger blended it in. This takes care of the white edges similar to inking with a stamp pad plus frames your pieces.
My background for my card looked like this.

I played with using them direct on a stamp. For this I simply chose my colors, my stamp and got out a piece of watercolor paper and my water brush.
Firstly I wet the stamp by simply running my wet water brush across the surface.
I then applied my color directly to the stamp by lightly running my gelato across the surface. I added my four different colors to the stamp and then ran my wet water brush across the color. Play with the amount of moisture you add to the color to achieve different looks.
The wetter it is the less defined your image will be, and this would be a great way to add interest and textures to a background.
I chose my preferred Stamping and cut it out to use as the main focal piece on my card.
