Inspired by the recent trend in mixed media of altering embellishments with paints and mists to create a unified assemblage, I attempted this on a small scale with pieces of ephemera and left over embellishments from my AlteredPages.com stash. I stenciled artist spackle with the new Crafter's Companion Stencils and stamped into spackle with Mailbox Muse wings. I then layered pieces of torn book paper, canceled postage, German Scrap, trim, chipboard, mulberry flowers, and frayed fabric. I coated this layer with Gesso and after drying this layer, I misted Copper Maya Mist and homemade spritzes to form a base layer. After drying this, I adhered metal pieces, plastic shamrocks, paper embossed butterfly and fabric ribbon roses with E6000 and then once again applied gesso. I then applied a final layer of mists and heated the ATC to dry. I finally dry-brushed white gesso over the top of the entire card to highlight the textures of the assemblage elements.
