Do you know what the above photo is? Well, it is approximately $ 8 dollars worth of gelatin used to make a gel printing plate at home. This was made in a 9X13 pan according to the proper instructions, chilled overnight and when the attempt was made to remove it from the pan to create prints.....this was the result.

can't the gelatin be remelted? I mean, I understand the point you are making w/ the ease of the plates but I thought geatin was 'remeltable'(is that even a word?)
ReplyDeleteIt can be melted, but it still deteriorates,cracks with use and is such a mess too. To make it you invest money & a good bit of time. Why deal with the aggravation - it would be like searching through an encyclopedia instead of instantly looking on the internet. I have nothing against the process, it is simply so convenient giving you more time to create.
