Hello! This is my last post for a bit as I'm having hand surgery. This month we are all about LOVE making the world go around and I'm recently into journaling. So... Today I have some Amor themed journal tags to show you. SUPPLIES: Paper (Sabor Amor) Acrylic Paint Tags Adhesive Serviette paper Ribbon and lace Jewel or Gem embellishment These are the items I started with, I used most and added some more! I started by painting the tags with acrylic paint. Just in a random way using a light color for the base. Added some more coordinating colors in random patterns and used a white acrylic, watered down for my splatter pattern. I used pieces of the vellum serviette round behind my images. Then I used some textured green paper from my stash to add some visual interest in a coordinating color. Glued some lace to the bottom edge. Nooooooooo, on my tags! Okay, I am being a bit corny but it's that time of year right? In honor of our tag challenge, today I'm giving you TWO tags! With this fun Halloween Moons collage sheet, I couldn't just pick one of these fun fellows, so you get one for Autumn and one for Halloween! Supplies: Halloween Moons collage sheet Adhesive Manila Tags Paper for backgrounds Assorted Ribbon Art Alchemy Paints - Dragon's Eye and Dark Forest Memento Inker Rub-On embellishments, miscellaneous stickers and other collage elements from my stash Some starting elements. I didn't use all of these things and I added a few, but this gives you an idea of my process.  I started by gluing down my papers to the tags. Then I trim around the tag. I love tags. I decided to take my tags and try my hand at morphing them into a tag box.  I love that all the great goodies I have can take regular manilla tags and make them into an amazing project. Hello again from Jen.  I have to say I love playing with my Lost Coast stamps!  The minute I saw this set all I could think of is Halloween. Now I will admit, these are probably not Halloween stamps but for me they are certainly strange enough to fit the theme. In my world, every day is Halloween. Have I mentioned I LOVE Halloween? You get the idea. So, I made some little tags to remind me just how much I love, well you know... These tags strung together, make a sweet hanging decoration but you could leave them separate and use them on gift or treat bags as well. I am very thankful for Creative Arts. My life would be quiet empty and lacking color without art.  I felt this tag represents a flight of fancy.   The sketch (coloring collage sheet) moving from a coloring book look, to colored image to an actual "flower" is how my world is. I think many forget that everything was a "sketch" before it took shape and became "real".  I am so thankful to AlteredPages for allowing me to have this fun forum to express myself. Remember the Spring Flowers book from a few weeks back?  She's returning today with her pockets full, with tags and flowers and all sorts of pretties. The tags are all from a package of Assorted Tags, and there are plenty of lovely floral, bird, and butterfly themed collage pages to be found at Altered Pages. The blooms are all from a set of the beautiful Renae Blush flowers.  All the little bits and bobs are attached to the tags using the lightbulb shaped safety pins . I'm particularly pleased with these French Enamel Chipboard numbers--they have the appearance of real little brass plates ! Have a wonderful, flower-filled week! :)trisha

Hi everyone!  Robin here today and I've got a trio of dragon pieces to share with you.  This month Altered Pages has partnered with Faerie Song Art Stamps and the design team has been sharing some great fantasy artwork with you. I used two very fun dragon stamps from Faerie Song Art Stamps to create a clean-and-simple greeting card, a tag and an ATC.  There were supposed to be "in progress" photos to share but my computer was mimicking a hungry dragon and ate my camera's memory card!  Here are the completed pieces. I hope you like them.  There is a list of supplies at the bottom of this post.  Greeting card The dragon on this card was colored with watercolor pencils and a water pen. Artist Trading Card (ATC) The map on this ATC is a scrap leftover from another project.  I find ATCs the perfect way to use up random scraps because of their small size. The focus at Altered Pages this month has been gift containers, wraps and tags. With the upcoming Halloween season, I couldn't help but thinking of the most final of packages and the tags that go with them. Yep, you guessed it! Today's post is all about toe tags! Bringing you this creepy post is Betsy Skagen of Paper Calliope . Just think of the head-to-toe tingles you can create when you give a present adorned with the kind of tag hung on bodies at the morgue (or at least a spookified version of one). Each hair-raising tag shows a toe, of course. Hello Altered Pages fans. The newness has not worn off--I'm still giddy to be here. So one thing I learned from the Quintessential American Road Trip I took with my family this summer is that road trips are full of snapshot memories.
