Little Box of Love

This month for 'Love makes the World go Round'  I wanted to make a tiny box for a Valentine or other gift. I wanted it to Shout LOVE , so here is what I did... I began with a small oval shaped box and painted it with pinks and oranges for a mixed painted metallic look.  I stamped a heart image on to a patterned piece of pretty paper and then fussy cut it out. Next, I glued around the heart edges and added pink sparkly glitter for a cute outline Finally, I added some pink/beige flat back pearls all around the edges using larger ones at the bottom and smaller on the top. I made them more secure by using a strong glue for this. Items needed: Pigment Ink Pretty paper - There are some lovely ones here Glitter Paints Flatback pearls Glue Strong Tacky glue

With Lace and Love

Creating a little something today with this month's theme of Lace and next month's theme of Love in mind.  It's a bit like how we approach the New Year combining the old with the New. Anyhow the old was also incorporated into this creation by using my previously made Gel Prints where I had used Lace as a Texture Tool . The vintage feel of the Lace Print was a perfect match for the Vintage Valentine's Image from the Victorian Valentine Collage Sheet.  I teamed these items with some Lace and a Wisteria/Orchid Toned Card Base.  Did you know that this shade of Purple is often associated with Romance and Sweet Emotion? So with a simple layering of all the elements I had a completed card in no time at all! And in no time at all we will be in the New Year!  I hope you all have a Great 2018! Danie xx

Mi Enamorado

With Valentine's Day just around the corner I could not resist making a card for my first project this month.  I know Valentines are usually red or pink but we are celebrating green this month and Sabor Papel has a beautiful green design in their Amor collection.  Because green is not a traditional Valentine color, this design would also make a terrific anniversary card. Supplies: Sabor Papel Amor Collection - paper and embellishment cut outs Young Lovers II collage sheet Gold Glam Sticker Corners Gel Xtreme PEN gold Adhesive Memento Tear Drop ink pad Sponge Dauber Choose which part of the background you wish to use. Ink the edges of each piece just to hide the white paper core.  I also sponged ink around the background about 1/4 - 1/2 inch from the edges. I cut into the design to separate the two leaves and the two large roses so that the other elements could be interwoven.  I just touched up the cut area with a pink marker ...

Easy-Peasy Valentine's Day Card

Last minute Valentine's Day card, with a gift card holder, and it can be completed in a snap! Using paper  and  cardstock  stickers   and images  and hearts   and a library card pocket   you can create a cute card. The library card pocket, 2 letters from the images, and the heart embellishment.                I tore the paper and inked  the edge, placing it on the solid cardstock. The cardstock stickers gave some pizzaz to the pocket. Next I cut sentiments from the paper and adhered with another heart to the front. Easy-peasy and with a cute little pocket to add a gift card, if you'd like. Ciao for now, -Trish Alger

Valentine's Wishes and Fairy Kisses

Red and White is a fabulous color combination and perfect for Valentines Day and Love Themed Cards. Teamed with Black it adds a touch of elegance to any card and that is why I love the Black and White Paper Collection from Glitz available at Altered Pages.  Lyneen shared a number of cards this week using these papers also. Today I have a quick, lots of layers card using a selection of papers from the Black and White collection suitable for both Valentine's or Birthday Greetings.  It is staring a beautiful earth spirit from the Fairy Doll Collage Sheet. Supplies Used: Glitz Black & White Paper Pad Double sided adhesive Bazzill Edge Mini's - Phoenix Red Petaloo Flowers Red Memento Ink More Fairies will be in the spotlight this month as our team works with some of the delightful images from Faerie Song Art Stamps, so be sure to pop back each day to see what magic my fellow design team members have been creating. Cheers Danie

Bag & Tag Your Honey

Needing a cute little bag for your Honey? Don't forget the tag! This is the supply list I worked with: Plain kraft bag Scrap piece of Acetate/Plastic Low-tack Tape Bazzill Luggage Tag    Art Anthology Sorbet Vegas Gold Sheen Dimensional    Art Anthology Sorbet Red Velvet Cake Dimensional    Art Anthology Velvet Mayan Gold Dimensional    Embossing Powder    Steampunk Female Unmounted Rubber Stamp    Black Pigment Ink    12" Celtic Circle Stencil    Length of Regimental Ribbon    Spray Inks    Kraft gift bags accumulate after celebrations. It's a great blank canvas to create upon. I taped the edges to flatten. I chose a large stencil as my design for the front of my bag. The   12" Celtic Circle Stencil   was a great choice to cover a large space with a simple geometric design.   I wanted some gold shimmer, but needed some depth too. First c...
