Hello, I hope you are enjoying the season! Today I have a fun project for you. A Santa theme domino book. Supplies you will need: Dominos - you can use any size, wood, plastic, ivory, whatever. Collage images   3002 Santa Place cards - scaled them down to fit my domino. Lace Adhesive German Scrap - Dresden Acrylic paint Scrapbook paper Stickles Embellishments Sealant Alcohol ink and rubbing alcohol Here are my papers, lace, dominos and scaled down collage images.  Drop on the alcohol inks in a random pattern. You can use acrylic paint for this as well. I dried the ink and then, using a dab of rubbing alcohol on a tissue, I blotted the pattern down a bit to give it a more marbled look and lighten up the colors. Using watered down black and white gloss acrylic, I use a splatter technique to add some interest to my ink pattern.  Once dry, I spray with acrylic sealer. CHRISTMAS RETRO FUN for a KIDS PROJECT This can be something the kids do after Thanksgiving dinner which can make a sweet holiday gift. Hello! Having fun with my Emerald Creek embossing powders. Decided to make an easy-peasy little Christmas themed frame. Supplies: Emerald Creek Embossing Powders - Silvester-Kracher, Northern Lights and Neon Blue Wooden frame from my stash Collage images from Altered Pages (1636 ATC's Christmas) Adhesive Paper Red acrylic paint Miscellaneous embellishments Selection of stamps Ink My starting lineup I used the red acrylic paint to paint the raw inside and outside frame edges. When dry, glue the frame front side down onto the paper.  Alternately you can wrap the paper around the frame edges if it is lightweight paper. Gift Box  This turned out to be a fun project. I seriously wasn't sure it would work when I started and challenged myself to make it happen! Now I am so happy I did! Please don't kill me for posting a Christmas project before Halloween! Jess  here with a fun upcycle project for you. I have gotten a jump start on my holiday crafting and hope to inspire you to start too.  There are some many awesome images available from Altered Pages for your Christmas craft projects.  For this vintage tart tin ornament, I chose the kitten image from the  50's Christmas shee t. I punched the image out using my circle punch and set it aside. I used an awl to hammer a hole in the hop and a hole in the bottom of the tart tin .  I put a jump ring in each hole to make my hanger and the tassel. To make the hanger and tassel I dyed my  seam binding  by using my various  sprays .  I also took some bits of vintage lace to add extra interest.  I tied a single bit of seam binding though the top jump ring and just knotted it to secure it.  For the tassel I pulled the bits of seam binding and lace though the jum...

As my family will readily tell you, I'm not normal.  I'm Betsy Skagen of Paper Calliope and unless I begin eating a bushel of garlic a day, I will never be able to eat all the bags of mints I have accumulated.
