I am always using brown bags for gift bags.  Today I am using a tag made a month ago to embellish a brown bag I have dressed-up for a gift today!   Altered brown bags make the perfect gift bag!       I used this tag made in December to embellish the bag... more details on creating the tag HERE!       Supplies to decorate the bag: Red Paper Brown Mist Paper bag Doubled sided Tape Luster Rub Stencil Lace Tacky Glue Tag     Cut Red Paper to the size of the bag, spray with Brown Mist , let dry. With stencil randomly apply Luster Rub  to the red paper. Attach red paper to the bag with  Doubled sided Tape , add Lace  with Tacky Glue .   Attach tag to bag!     Visit the blog often this month for more RED inspiration!    

Festive gift bags featuring Sabor paper!    Design by Judy Wood   My designer gift bags are featured in a little shop in Old Town Scottsdale, for Spring, I decided to have a little fun using Sabor papers!   Cut a 12x12 Sabor paper in six inch squares. Find a pattern using both sides of the double side paper that’s pleasing to the eye. Use Aleene's Tacky Glue to glue squares onto any size gift bag (available at most craft stores, or UPcycle). I use a heavy book after applying glue to make sure nothing shifts and the bag doesn’t warp.   Wait about 15 minutes before moving the book. I found two of the squares didn’t fit as flush as I would have liked, so I used some black and white ribbon to cover up the white of the bag.   Add matching fabric flowers . Add bright colored ribbons , tissue paper and add gift(s)!   Great for Graduations, Birthdays, baby showers, wedding gifts, or any occasion!     ...

This week I was in need of gift wrap for a house warming gift!  Today I have the bag I created for my gift.  I cannot share what is inside because the person receiving it is a member of the Altered Pages Facebook group!     I wanted it to look like a house... the blue pattern paper topper is the scalloped edged roof and the pink area is similar to a wall paper!    With the bag flat adhere the pink pattern paper using a glue stick.  Arrange items you would like to embellish your bag: Gold Opulence Stickers  (clock and "Time to Celebrate"), K aiserCraft Embellishment Bingo Card Pack ,  and Glitz Whatnots ~ Yours Truly  (frame and queen with heart staff) Using tacky glue attach the Petaloo Flowers.    Fold the blue paper at 8 inches, measure the width needed to fit over the handles of the bag.  Cut a slit 2 inches longer than your measurement and an inch wide. ...

Hi Everyone, Jess  here with a quick wrapping project that you can customize for any occasion.  You will soon discover I have a thing for anything with wings- birds, fairies, butterflies, you name it.  I figured there is no better way to kick off my posts than with a bird project.   I started with a 7X5 inch white craft bag and some doilies.  I folded the doilies in half and wrapped them around the bag.  I played with different size and colors until I came up with a combination that would work with my image. Once I made my decision I used my  double sided tape  to adhere them to the bag.   I chose the hummingbird image from the Altered Pages  Birds with Hats Collage sheet .  How can you not love a bird wearing a crown?! I cut out one full image and then trimmed just the butterfly on the crown out of a second image.  All of the images were inked around the edges to hide the white paper they are printed on. ...

I have been known to use any paper bag with a ribbon in a pinch.... I love altering brown paper bags... you can spruce up any size bag.  Here are a couple of ideas!       You could use these for party favors or gift giving depending on the size bags you use!  Today I am using brown lunch bags.       Cut pattern paper for base from Glitz 8x8 Pattern Cardstock Shine in My Soul  to fit bag, ink edges.  Cut second piece t be the banner, ink edges.  Adhere to paper bag with Double stick tape .       For the first bag, cut image from Altered Pages Collage Sheet Pets on Parade  ink edges and adhere to bag with Glue Stick .   For the second bag cut image from Altered Pages Collage Sheet Drive me Anywhere but Here  ink edges and adhere to bag with Glue Stick .   Mist the white doily with desired colors, the intention here was to look a bit distressed....
