Boxes and More Boxes, Talking Heads!

Have the Altered Boxes inspired you this week?    I have one I hope you will like.    I call her 'A Solid Thinker'.    I will show you the finished project next week.... The head is a sketch I drew on a small box and colorized using the Colored Pencil Tin set .   I also used   neon ink from Imagine Crafts.    I added words with  AlteredPages Words rotary stamper. She can be a bit hard headed and her line of sight is not so great.  BUT she is a solid thinker.   Stay Tuned for more creating and more PINK for October.

Enjoying wine...Just for Fun!

The hustle and bustle of Christmas is now behind us but we hope to keep the spirit of the season with us.  And now New Year's Day is right around the corner.  I enjoy New Year's because it's very festive and like a giant party.  And what do we toast in the new year with?  Wine!  Oh sure, you could drink champagne, but I prefer a nice sweet wine.  And what could be sweeter than this adorable little flower from Just For Fun rubber stamps ?  It's part of a trio of flowers, but I cut them apart to make separate blooms.  I stamped one of them with wine colored ink on a Glitz scrapbook paper.  I used a permanent fine point marker to hand-draw the flower into a wine glass!  Then I chose several images from two Altered Pages collages and some German scrap to make this card. I had to sponge some tan ink onto the paper in the background so that the wine glass would show up better.  It kept the polka dots from blending together....

The Queen of Hearts and ghosts of Christmas past . . .

Merry Christmas to you! When choosing some stampy goodness from Just For Fun Stamps, I didn't take into consideration that, well, this is DECEMBER.  So today for you I have a Queen of Hearts layout in the Alice In Wonderland altered book--but if you stopped by for some Christmas cheer, don't despair, as I've also added some photos of several of my favorite Altered Pages Christmas projects from years past. First, the Queen: Altered Pages playing card images, chipboard queen colored with Pan Pastels Just For Fun playing card border stamp And now for a few "ghosts" of Christmases past:     And one more time--a Merry Christmas to you! :)trisha

A Holiday Wish

Hi everyone! Are you ready for Christmas? Me? No! Every year I say I'm going to be ahead of the game so I can enjoy the season but you know how it goes it just gets crazy busy and before you know it Christmas is here. Sigh… Well, I want to share two quick projects I created using this month's cosponsor's  Just For Fun Rubber Stamps . Lets get started. I started with a Christmas card envelope that I messed up. Instead of throwing it away I decided I wanted to use it as a pocket for a journal…the flap is actually on the end of the envelope which will make it easy to put memorabilia in it.  I stamped  The Holiday Wish  image onto a piece of cardstock from the  Joyeux Noel Paper Collection . Also from the same collection I cut various sizes of cardstock for the front of the envelope. The piece of cardstock that has writing on it is actually from packaging that had charms on it. I thought it would add the perfect touch to the envelope. ...
