Being artists or even casual creators we are visual and tactile, therefore our surroundings seem to affect us. If I say blue what comes to your mind? The sky or water or? If I say winter what do you see in your mind's eye? When I say apple, do you visualize a red apple, a green apple or apple pie? Basic instincts drive our thoughts, we all react differently based on experience. Your Muse may come from visual images, a word or even a smell.
