Feeling Flowery

Spring seems to have finally arrived for most everyone.  YIPPEE! I have dimensional ATC's for your viewing today. I do like using up older papers for sweet little ATC's. I die cut the flowers on a Cricut, I cut the leaves from one of our papers, used another paper as my background.   I then used a pentel pen to doodle around the flowers and leaves.  I also like to corner round most things, it echoes the rounded flowers. A bit more of the same but with a different background paper.  Less doodling due to the busy background.   Just paper, scissors and glue and VOILA! I also want to share some of our blooms around the house.    These grace our front and backyards and make me so very happy due to the bright colors.  The birds, bees, and butterflies like them too.        The RED Hibiscus is a full 9 inches across! Here's to Happy days of Spring and summer. T...

Cookin' with Sabor ~ Part dos

Hi, Jean here to finish off my Colorful  Cookbook. (read all the way down for happy news) Family and Friends come first with me!  Love to entertain all the time for any reason or no reason at all!   I collect Cookbooks and make them for gifts.  Wedding showers, housewarmings and small ones for hostess gifts.   I like a binder format with removable page protectors to allow adding or changing the contents.    I HAVE A SAD STORY ~ My blog post was all finished and ready to go, I wanted to just add one tweak when BOOM!   I inadvertently hit a key and POOF, the entire post disappeared.  Don't know what I pressed but I will never do it again!   Therefore, it is shorter but you still get the point! For my project, I used a binder I got at a general merchandise store, ( we never say the name of the evil chain that begins with W and ends with mart) I covered front and back covers as well as the...

Some jingle jangle to wear

Hi, Jean today to share a project that will be fun to make and even give as a gift. Of course, Sabor papers are the focal point of the project.  We love Sabor for a few reasons... The quality of the paper is fantastic  The patterns and colors are amazing Sabor is a family owned business  Here is the finished piece.   Read on to see how it was constructed.   I had these key tags laying around and kept looking at them, knowing they would make a good art project. Sabor to the rescue!   The white tag is a 1 inch circle.   I used my circle punch and cut out various Sabor papers (you will cover both sides of each tag).  Punch images or colors you want. Apply the papers to the tags with a glue such as Aleene's.  I used a small paint brush and glued the tags, then placed the circles on top, it's neater that way. I colored any white tag area before gluing on my papers.  I used Splash Inks colori...
